I ordered this oil for my husband to use. He spends a lot of time gardening, but often suffers from a grass pollen rash on his legs, as well as coming in covered in scratches from where he's been digging out brambles. As the ingredients of this Vitamin E blend of oils is suitable for treating inflammation of the skin, and will promote wound healing, it’s perfect for him.I like the ingredients list of this blend, and the fact that it contains nothing but 100% natural ingredients. The fragrance is a bit earthy, but not unpleasant. The darkened glass bottle that the oil comes in has a build-in drop dispenser underneath the screw-top lid, which controls the flow, so you can dispense just a single drop, or shake the bottle to get a few drops. The oil is a dark yellow colour, with an oily texture. It doesn’t sink into the skin very quickly or easily, so don’t put too much on. A small amount spreads a long way, and leaves a greasy feel for around 45 minutes.This oil blend does contain wheat germ oil, but if you have coeliac disease, there is no need for you to avoid this product for that reason, as long as you don’t ingest it. It can’t enter your bloodstream through the skin. It’s blended and bottled in the UK, and also has a gluten-free symbol on it.This oil can be used in on your face, body, scalp, stretch marks, patches of dry flaky skin, scars, bramble-scratched arms, rubbed into the cuticles of your nails, insect bites, nettle stings, or ends of dry frizzy hair. This bottle is a reasonably sized 50ml, and is very sensibly priced, making it accessible to everyone. The usage directions are to use 4-6 drops, massaged in twice daily. It needs to be stored away from sunlight. I find that storing it in the fridge keeps it fresher for longer, and stops the oils from going rancid.
