I am trying to replace a bad magnecraft relay. will this work to replace my magnecraft 24v 50/60hz relay?

If the arrangement of the pins, and the number of poles is the same it should work. Look up your magnecraft model number to determine whether it has 2,3,or 4 poles and socket size.

My relays are omron ly2 24vac. is the ly2-ac24 the same?

Yes. They both have a 24 volt alternating current latching coil.

Is the ly2-ac24 the same as ly2-vac24?

I believe so since I think "ac24" and "vac24" both specify a 24 volt AC control coil.
