Super impressive Seiko Speedtimer
I absolutely love this watch! I've never been a watch snob but for the longest time, I did gravitate towards expensive "high-end" brands but I was never really happy with them. The more I thought about it, the more I agreed that I simply do not like mechanical watches. I know that's an unpopular opinion in the watch world but they're not for me! I then began looking for high quality quartz watches that feel high end, but don't cost a fortune. This is it! This Seiko Speedtimer line to me is perfect! These watches measure 41.4mm so they have just the right amount of wrist presence, not too large, not too small. The case length and height are both super comfortable and I even love the bracelet it came on. I've bought other Seikos before in the $500 price range that still had cheap bracelets with hollow end links, but that's not the case with this one. In my opinion, this watch should be closer to the $1k mark if they wanted to but at this price it's a bargain!I was torn between which colorway to buy when I first started researching these 41mm Speedtimers and the Pogue-colorway was the first one I got. (I have 4 now, and one of the 39mm ones, that's how much I like them!) I was a little worried that being the dial is goldish-yellow that it would be hard to see, but not there is enough contrast between the dial and the hands to make this easy to read at a glance. The lume is excellent and the two-toned bezel give it a pop of color that makes the watch feel fun and sporty. Plus, I love telling people the colonial Pogue story when they ask about it.If that wasn't enough, I upgraded the bracelet to a jubilee from Islander Watches and wow that really brings out the retro aesthetics in this thing! I didn't even know they made a bracelet for these 41mm Speedtimers. I had searched and searched, even in forums and all I could find were bracelets for the 39mm ones, and mentions that they would be making one soon. Then I was browsing their site and I found it, it's model BRAC-111 (for the jubilee) and wow its super comfortable and adds a bit more bling to the watch. I think Islander needs to improve their SEC maybe, because when I searched nothing had popped up, but anyway, I wanted to mention it in my review in case others are looking for one.

Amazing looking stunning yet a little small.
This watch is absolutely beautiful. I’ve only recently started collecting a few watches mainly citizens and so it took a special look of awesomeness for me to venture from Citizen to Seiko, and I am very pleased with this purchase. The only concerning factor is that the watch barely fits. I guess I have a fairly good size wrist so an extra link would have been great.

Small but eye catching!
Eye catching color scheme! Color combination pops.It is not a big watch. I think if it were a little larger, it would have appealed to more men. For bigger arms, this Pogue might look like a child’s watchI have a 7” wrist and only had to remove two links (approx. 3/4”). For those with wrists > 7-3/4”, expect to purchase additional links if that is possible….or buy a larger bracelet/strap.If you are ok with a “small” watch and have a wrist on the smaller side, this is a “looker”.I like to look at Seiko, Citizen, Orient and Casio watches. This is the only watch that had so much eye appeal that I was willing for the first time to spend more than $500 on a watch.I still feel my Casio Edifice Aviator watches have a bigger pop per dollar. And if funds were are an issue, Casio is tuff to beat for value/looks for the dollarThat said, the Pogue is still a beautiful watch to add to a collection. I’m keeping the Pogue.
