Setup is easy with internal back-up battery. Excellent readability. Fit perfectly on a mantle. Brightness in a dark room could almost double as a nightlight. Appearance would fit with any decor. Lacks doubling as a thermometer.

This clock was recommended by the staff at the nursing home where my mother in law resides. Clock is of good quality and was very easy to set up. The display is bright and easy for her to read. Even if clock is unplugged or power goes off, the settings remain intact. It has helped immensely with her wandering in middle of the night as well as making phone calls to others asking what time it is.

It really helps especially at night where the person can see not only the time but the time of day like Dawn early Dawn evening. It helps them realize when it’s night and they should be asleep our day. It also helps them know what day it is.

The product is working as described. Hopefully, it will last longer than described by other purchasers. So far, it’s a nice product & provides a good visual screen.

This was the perfect solution for my parents. Both have memory issues and be confused on the day of the week and time of day. This clock makes them feel independent because they dont have to keep asking for help. One glance and they can find the day and time. Bonus is knowing if it is morning or night! Both are giddy about their "fancy" clock! Best purchase for memory care patients, ever.

I purchased this dementia clock because I wanted something with a large, easy-to-read digital display, and this one does a great job in that area. The screen is clear and bright, and I like that you can choose between white or yellow display options depending on your preference. The size of the numbers makes it especially helpful for seniors or anyone who needs better visibility. One feature I was interested in was the message function. While it does include preset reminders, the options are fairly limited. I do wish it allowed users to create and customize their own messages, as that would make it even more useful for personalized reminders. Overall, this is a good clock with a clear display and helpful features, but it would be even better with more flexibility in the message settings.

I purchased this to give it a test run before forwarding on to my mom & step dad, they were both diagnosed with cancer within days of each other. I thought this clock might be helpful for them to see what day & time of day it was at an easy glance as they go through the terrible journey they both face with their treatments & recovery. The multiple alarm feature I thought would also be handy for medication schedules. My criteria was - it had to be easy to understand setup, easy to push buttons for the setup (mom has rheumatoid in her hands) and the display had to be easy to see. I did not read the instructions upon opening so I could see how intuitive it was. I took the cord & plugged it in to the clock & the outlet, that part was super easy. I was surprised to see the date & time were already set, but the time was an hour or two off. I proceeded to adjust the time and got tripped up a little when I went to the menu. The display screen prompts with arrows on each side of the time. Me being used to touch screens thought I needed to touch the arrows on screen to scroll through the hours. That was not the case, the screen is not a touch screen lol. You need to use the 4 arrow buttons on the back of the unit to adjust the settings. Once that realization was achieved, time set was easy. I think it might be a slightly difficult for someone to keep their finger on the right button AND watch the clock face to see what is happening if that person had very weak or painful fingers. The buttons themselves were not too hard to push & they are fairy large. The display is super easy to read in various levels of room light & distances. It does emit a bright glow in a dark room, kind of like a night light. I wouldn't recommend this in the bedroom for anyone who needs total darkness to sleep. But if you use a nightlight, this would be great. Overall I am very pleased with this clock, I think it will work very well for my mom & step dad. I also discovered it works great for those days when you take a nap & wake not knowing if it is 5:30 AM or PM during the PNW fall / winter months when the skies look the same regardless. I am keeping this clock for myself for that purpose & buying another one for mom (she recently bought new tables & I want to match the clock to them).

We purchased this clock for my 96 year old mother-in-law. She was beginning to get confused about what day it was, and whether it was AM or PM. We wanted to get her a clock that she could easily read day or night, and would clearly spell out the time, date, and weekday. The clock did this wonderfully, as well as also indicting (spelling out) "afternoon", or "morning", "before dawn", etc. Unfortunately she passed away, only having the clock for a short time, so we ended up getting the clock back. I had, in the past, looked for a digital clock to be used in our family room, next to the TV. I wanted something that looked half decent, and was easy to read in the light as well as in the dark. We never found one we really liked, as the ones we tried were too bright, or didn't have a light, and always looked like old computer screen lettering. To we tried the Day Clock. It was great. First of all, it looks PERFECT. It's almost hard to believe that the clock screen contents change. It looks like its been painted professionally onto the screen. Secondly, it lights up, and is easy to read, and at night it dims so that it's still easy to read the clock, without distracting from the TV. It's also easy to adjust. The settings are both simple, and intuitive. My wife (who rarely tries to change electronic clock times) easily changed the time, for Daylight Savings Time. This highlights the only thing that I can think of to perhaps make this clock better - a Daylight Savings Time change button. Another nicety, is that it still keeps the time accurately, and when the power goes off, it will continue at the correct time when power is restored. So, as you may have gathered, we are very happy with this clock, and highly recommend it - for seniors, and for the rest of us.
