I use a sliver jewelry cleaning cloth. It is dry. One end is the cloth had cleaning solution in it ans the other end is for wiping it to a shine. Amazon sells them cheap!

I haven’t had it pull on my hair at all yet and I wear it every day and have long hair. You should be fine
