The only thing my dog likes better is hooves. These are better by far for dogs.I feel good about the health benefit. This certain one in fact. Pricey but if your dog isn’t big they last a long time. Weeks or a month for my 12# dog. Subscribe and get in bulk. We had a 45# dog (since passed) If you give it to your dog for a period of time then remove it you can make it last longer. NEVER give a smaller one for their weight but you can go bigger. You don’t want choking hazard. I’ve never heard of any dog ever that didn’t want it. They may immediately love it or let it sit a few days wondering but once they start? They’ll guard it and go crazy.

I’m so impressed with the Native Pet Yak Cheese Himalayan Dog Chews! My pit-bull (Queen) is a medium-sized dog who is an aggressive chewer who usually destroys treats in minutes, but these last a long time and keep her completely occupied. They’re 100% natural, have no weird smell, and don’t leave any mess behind. I also love that they help clean her teeth while she enjoys them. It feels good knowing she’s getting something healthy and satisfying at the same time. Definitely a must-have for any dog owner looking for durable, natural chews — I’ll be buying more!

My dog absolutely loves these Yak Chews! They keep him busy for a long time, and they don't make a mess or have a bad smell like some other chews. I really like that they're made with simple, natural ingredients - no fillers or artificial stuff. They also seem very gentle on his stomach. Great value for the price and perfect for dogs that love to chew! I'll definitely keep buying them.

**update 11/15** Native Pet reached out directly and offered a full refund. I appreciate that they took my feedback seriously and took steps to resolve the issue. We love Native Pet and have gotten several other products that our pup not only enjoyed but also all did what they say they do. Native Pet does make high quality goods for pets and we will continue to be customers. I did not enjoy writing my 3 star review but I wanted to make sure that the brand that we love was aware we didn’t get what we were expecting for the first time in over a year of purchasing. I’m upping my review to 4 stars, but please know that these yak chews are seriously amazing if you can ensure you get the right size for your dog!! —Prior review— Before our most recent order I would have given these 5 stars. We have been buying these yak chews since we adopted our rescue girl in July 2022. These are by far the best “bones” we have been able to find since they are fully edible and can transform into crunchy treats when they get to the end of their life, and they do not upset our baby’s tummy. We love these and have the 3 pack on auto ship. However, our most recent order received on 11/9 is a disappointment. We originally bought the medium chews when we first got our dog because she is medium sized and 45-50lbs, but she turned out to be a big chewer. The medium were too small for her and she was able to bite off large chunks and go through them too fast. We switched to the large which have always been thicker and just a little bit longer so she went through them a little slower and couldn’t get as many big chunks off. Our 11/9 order contained what appears to be the same size as the medium chews, which we don’t get anymore for the reasons stated above. I added a photo of what we received next to pieces left from our prior order. You can clearly see the pieces from the prior order are thicker (circled in green). I didn’t spend $28 to get medium sized yak chews. I understand they can all be slightly different sizes even within the same package, and we sometimes get thicker/thinner/darker/lighter chews, but these are just very SMALL compared to the other large chews we’ve received over the past year. It seems strange that I would suddenly need to start purchasing the extra large chews to get the same substantial size as the large ones I was getting before, unless there’s been a change in the product design itself. I really hate leaving negative reviews. I prefer to only leave reviews when I have a great experience because I think it’s important to share those things rather than complain. If I really have an issue, I usually reach out to the seller if I can. In this case, I can’t find a way to contact the seller to ask if there was a change in the product or if this was an error but I guess I can go through an Amazon customer service rep if needed. This product can’t be returned which is typical of food-like items, but I would like to know why this order seems so inconsistent from what we’ve gotten in the past.

As a full time work from home dog mom, these chews are the absolute best! I have 2 three month old puppies that were entertained with them for 1-2 hours at a time. Since they take forever to eat, they are able to take a break from them and then jump back into chewing when they want. The only negative thing is that it makes their breath and mouth stink, but they are so happy and stimulated with them, that I’ll look past the stink

I have two small dogs (~13LBS) and they LOVE to chew. Those two will take anything new and chew it. ANYTHING. Especially if it's plastic. The damage to things like eye glasses, medication, valued toys, etc has been significant. They have 50 toys, but nothing is better than good old fashioned chewing for these two. Desperate for anything that will keep their attention long enough to distract them from my stuff, I gave these a try. They LOVE these things! Bonus Fun - give virtually identical chews to each dog and instead of them each happily chewing, they like to torment each other by taking the chew from the other and instead of just moving on to the other, they wrestle each other for possession of whichever chew has been identified as "IT" that day. Many hours of fun! The best part, they always have something hearty to chew, which makes them less likely to steal my stuff. I buy the Medium and they last about a week since they are small dogs. So, while these are pricey, they do last a while for my little guys. I have tried a few other brands of Yak Chews and these ones seem to last the longest. Another brand I got, they were able to eat the entire one in an afternoon instead of lasting a long time like these, so they are definitely higher quality and sturdier than other brands.

We have been ordering Native Pet's medium Yak chews from Amazon for some time now as a subscriber item, averaging a 10 pack about every 3 weeks. We chose the Native Pet brand based on the many positive reviews and had been very happy with our choice with the exception of our most recent 2 orders. As with any natural product, there are differences in the chews in every package. Since the chews are very hard, we prefer the ones that are just a little "softer" and wear away as our dog chews them versus the slightly more brittle chews that can have larger chunks break off, potentially presenting a choking hazard. With that said, most of the chews we received were of the former consistency and hardness until we received a pack where the screw top was very loose and the foil seal was compromised which may have allowed them to dry a bit more than normal. We gave the chews to our dog (I probably shouldn't have in retrospect) and EVERY chew was now brittle and broke off large chunks. The next order arrived in a large envelope from Amazon and the contents were completely out of the package with the screw top completely off, a black powdery substance at the bottom of the envelope and inner portion of the screw top, and the moisture packet and 10 chews were loose in the envelope. This time they went into the garbage. I decided to call Native Pet and let them know there may be a rough handling issue at Amazon, or an issue with their shipping... or whatever.....but that there was definitely a customer issue. I received a text message almost immediately from Pat Barron at Native Pet giving me a direct email to communicate the circumstances and to attach some photos. Pat was appreciative for the notification and photos, genuinely concerned with the quality of their product, and graciously offered a replacement as a gesture of good will from Native Pet. It was outstanding customer service from an individual and company proving they actually care for you as a customer and for your continued satisfaction with their product.

My pug loves these. Be careful, they sometimes crumble into shards, so always be present. My dog has swallowed some and threw them back up.
