I put this ARGENDON dehumidifier in my crawlspace and it immediately made a noticeable difference in humidity levels. It’s compact but powerful, runs quietly, and the drain hose makes it super easy to set and forget. The 5-year warranty gives me peace of mind, and overall it feels like a solid, well-built unit that just works.

Powerful! Best dehumidifier I ever had, by a mile. Within a couple days, my 650 sq ft basement reached my goal of 50-55% humidity. Before this dehumidifier, it was 75%. I tried other residential dehumidifiers, which totally didn’t work. This one is great. Well worth the money if you have serious humidity issues in a large open space. Seller (Argendon) had excellent customer service. I contacted them when the Merv filter for the dehumidifier arrived dented. They resolved the issue quickly. CONS: It’s doesn’t tell you the humidity level in the air. I bought a hygrometer for less than $10. Honestly, you can feel the difference in the air but I like to keep track. Not eligible for the ENERGY STAR REBATE = My electric company denied my rebate, saying this model (Shield 35M) isn’t listed on the Energy Star government website “Product Finder”. Sadly, I confirmed that is true. Not sure why it says energy-star certified in the ad.P If applying for an energy star rebate is important to you, consider the Argendon 35P model instead.

Seems like a great unit, but doesn't seem to shut off when set on 50% even though I am sure humidity levels are lower than that.

I purchased the Sandidry 55C twice last November, 2024. When the first unit arrived, it was badly damaged, and Argendom - to their credit - replaced it. However, the second unit - though it SHOULD have been a “new” unit - was actually manufactured in November of 2023 (according to the identity stamped right on the side of the unit) so it apparently was not even actually a new replacement. This soon became evident in the quality of this “new” unit too. It only functioned for slightly more than nine months before automatically shutting down. When I attempted to reactivate it, it produced unending error messages and would function only a few moments before turning itself off and on unendingly. Interestingly, after reporting this situation to Argendon, they stipulated that I must crawl up into the crawl space beneath my home, take a photograph of the manufacturing tag with its date, as well as photos of the unit itself to confirm its setup upon a level concrete surface - all of which I did. After emailing this information to both of the Argendon email addresses (both “sales” and “service”), I have received no further response. Though my unit is still well within the stated warranty period, Argendon refuses to even speak with me regarding my unit. At the very least, they should have offered to provide me with a new water pump for the unit to see if that would correct the problem, but they strangely have refused to even communicate with me (beyond the initial reporting of the problem) regarding any repair or replacement whatsoever. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I'm not an expert, and I'm not using this professionally, so I'm probably an outlier here. As regular a homeowner that just got tired of expensive garbage plastic dehumidifiers from the big box store, this is a durable heavy duty replacement. Just taking this out of the box you can tell it is more of a heavy duty unit than the competitors. I'm guessing it's intended more for contractors? But, it works great for us. After years of fighting with gravity drains that decide to fill the bucket instead of the hose, filter clogged messages & flaky units that just don't turn on when the humidity gets high, this just works. It isn't as sleek & pretty looking as the plastic ones. I just want something that works, and this does. It's only been a little while, but my wife pointed out the musty smell is already gone in our basement. I'll update or change this if I have any problems. For now, I'm loving it! Spend a little more money now, you'll be happier in the end. The control is not intuitive, but reading the instructions made it easy to understand & use. Noise is less than the units it replaced. I'm tracking energy usage, with a smart plug, and it's lower than the energy star model it replaced.

Purchased this dehumidifier for our finished basement and was amazed at how quickly it removed moisture! Quiet and easy to move. Set up is incredibly easy. Comes with 2 drain hoses for 2 different drain options- gravity drainage connecting to a floor drain or built in pump allowing water to be directed up to 19.6 ft. It has four buttons for easy operation. Humidity setting, continuous mode, GPP mode and auto on/off. Covers 1500 sq ft. Great value for a commercial dehumidifier, I would definitely buy this unit again!

Worked great for about 6 months then got error code. Called customer service who diagnosed the issue and sent out a new pump in just a few days. Took about 2 minutes to replace and now working perfectly. Amazing customer service.
