Remarkable watch
I found it impossible to not fall in love with this watch. This watch delivers beauty, functionality, precision, robustness and lumes galore. Granted, I could have waited months or years to leave a proper review, but given that the watch may not even be available years from now, I can only update this review at a later date if something changes. This watch either gains 0 seconds, or 0.5 seconds in the few days I have worn it constantly, including showers, dish-washing, sleeping, but alas, not diving yet. The precision blows my mind. I do have a 20 years old Eco-drive that basically keeps atomic time (no radio) and to get this kind of precision on an automatic is either luck or the stuff of legends. As others have stated before me, this watch is a tank. It even looks like a melted tank. Everything is so precise and gorgeous, including the bezel action. Simply delicious sound as you rotate it and it comes to a fully centered state. The lume, as imaged, I took from inside a closed closet and adjusted the camera to image as close to what my eye sees. The lume lasts through the whole night, all the way to the morning hours and is easily readable even then. I don't do anything special to charge it. The image was taken after 5 seconds exposing to direct sunlight, but even in office light, and then going to bed, it just shines, almost like it is an LED. Simply remarkable. There is no question that the watch can easily be upgraded to be even more gorgeous but clearly that would increase the cost without increasing functionality, and this watch is incredibly functional. Now, the silicon straps that it came it, I replaced with the nylon straps, but those too are far too short. If you have large wrists, like I do, I barely get to the very first hole without cutting the blood circulation and that is annoying and has nothing to do with the watch itself. It is also nearly impossible to get XL canvas or nylon straps (non Nato) from Amazon. Many brands say they have XL versions, but no option to select during ordering. So I wonder if this watch could survive for however long on the surface of Venus, with surface atmospheric pressure of about 92 bars and 600 degree Fahrenheit temps. Both the melting point of sapphire and steel are much higher, so who knows :)

Good to go
Fantastic watch and case is heavy duty and the dial is gorgeous . The movement never requires battery so that’s a plus . The illumination works perfectly fine and the watch is a great fit . The strap is soft and easily adjusted and lastly the specs are awesome . Material of the watch is great.

Really a 4.5 rating
Ok.... this is a very good watch...It keeps very good time, assuming you wear it for at least 8 hours a day. I also give it a good 30 second "shake" before bed.... I find it comfortable to wear and not very heavy (on line it says it weighs a pound... I weighed it and find it closer to a little over a half pound) I had a Seiko dive watch when I was 21 and SCUBA diving.. This watch comes close to that performance level. It keeps good time, is comfortable and seem to be well built... The reason I gave it 4 (4.5) stars is the setup of date, time, etc... is that the stem is a little "sensative" or tricky to set... Once set, it works... I just found it a tricky to setup. I included a picture of me wearing the watch... I am 70 years old, 6 foot and about 215 pounds. I wear the watch on the inside of my wrist based on how I was taught to wear a watch when I was diving. The band seems to be wide enough to accommodate a bigger wrist than mine.

Impressive quality at very fair price.
I’ve had and still have several dive watches over my 58 years on this planet. I still on rare occasion use two of them when suited in full scuba gear. I wasn’t expecting much for the under $200 paid. To my complete surprise this is a very impressive, well designed and constructed time piece. I’m a beefy 6’3” guy and the size is just right, time accuracy appears very accurate, the lumination is excellent, beautiful scratch resistant sapphire crystal, very stylish classic dive watch that’s built like a small armored tank for your wrist. I’m so impressed with the quality I’m thinking of ordering another color thanks to the price point.

Seriously impressed
I only leave two types of reviews. Usually the reviews are if products or support so bad I want to give people a heads up. Or in this case I am blown away by the product or services. This watch is phenomenal. I bought it as a work watch (I usually wear G-Shocks to work). I wanted something that looked a little classier and didn't want to subject my "nicer" watches to the beating that my work can do to a watch. I am blown away by this watch. I cannot find a single flaw. It's literally perfect. I can't comprehend how they can offer a watch like this that has such a nice finish, the Seiko movement and a mineral crystal. Crazy this watch has any bad reviews. I assume people just dont know watches that well. People complained about lum. The lum isnt mind blowing, but it is on par with my SKX's and Ecodrives. I get people having timekeeping issues, that would be frustrating. But this has a Seiko NH36 movement that can be easily adjusted to correct that, there are vids on YT showing how to do it. I love this watch, value per dollar is nuts. I will be buying more Ratio watches, hopefully before people start recognizing the brand and price goes up. Hope this helps

Wears smaller than actual size
I was a little wary about this watch bc of the case size (46mm) but I took a chance anyway since the price is unbeatable for a 1000M dive watch. I was pleasantly surprised to put it on and realize it wears small; in fact, other than the weight, it wears noticeably smaller than my 43mm resin Luminox. The watch is stout and the build quality is excellent. The bezel is solid and has excellent detents when rotating, my only complaint is that I wish the bevels had a smoother finish bc they are SHARP. I don’t doubt that it could leave a nasty cut if it somehow got caught in someone’s skin. The bezel markers don’t QUITE line up, but everything else lines up correctly, which is incredible for the price. The only negative I can say about the watch is that the sapphire crystal is an absolute fingerprint magnet. It’s worse than piano black in vehicles, I’m constantly wiping off the crystal surface. I will update this review if any issues pop up, but so far, I’m loving this watch! And the price is unbeatable, I will likely buy 1 more as a backup before the company realizes that they’re practically giving these away.

Beautiful watch, poor customer service
Ok so I've upgraded from 4 to 5 stars, as I've been wearing it more regularly and really come to appreciate this handsome tank of precision instrument. A few years ago I owned a Seiko SRP777 turtle, which was my first foray into dive watches. No, I'm not really a diver.. I haven't been to the ocean in years and never done SCUBA and will never need the helium valve on this model, unless I become rich and travel the world and seas. Some things I like about this Pi Ratio 1000m diver BETTER than the Seiko SRP777 (both watches share the exact same inner movement), in no particular order at all: -brighter lume on Ratio -better timekeeping (maybe my SRP777 needed a tune up?) -bright red-orange bordered minute-hand easier to read -bezel actually lines up exactly at 12 (seiko didn't click into perfect alignment) -helium escape valve, cool factor -the wrist strap is fantastic, and the double keeper is an excellent design feature to keep the strap from ever coming 'unkept' something about the looks.. So I loved the turtle, and it felt smooth and very comfy. This Pi Ratio diver, while initially seeming to lack a certain sleekness of the Seiko (maybe I just thought I missed having 'the turtle'), is now growing on me because it seems somehow more proportional, in dimensions, than the sleek seiko which seemed ever so slightly oddly taller than wide on the wrist. This Ratio is a working watch, and IMHO, is a more functional and well made piece than the Seiko version, and at a much better price. Haven't been to Singapore but they definitely have an EXCELLENT new watchmaking company with Ratio. I cannot see how anyone can justify spending the money on something like a Seiko turtle when you can get the same movement (seiko 4R36 is the exact same as seiko NH36A), in a better case and strap, with helium valve, better lume, more precise bezel, easier-to-read minute hand, etc etc. Very happy to have this Ratio watch.... I cannot seem to ever take it off. I feel like I could beat the heck out of it and not care because it'll keep going and it's relatively affordable to replace if lost. Get one and be amazed at this new Singapore watch maker.... very very impressive. Glad to jump on the train and own one of their early models yet... they will go places. Edit again mid September: Timekeeping is flawless If I take it off for some reason a few hours or up to two days, i wind it 55 winds (it cannot be overwound) The lume is far superior to my seiko srp777 Loving this watch more and more (as opposed to wearing a watch less and less, the srp777, a not so affordable or useful thing, that i did end up making the choice to keep nice to resell as a small investment. This pi ratio is way better for many reasons, but infinitely because i wear it constantly) Update July 2024 downgraded to 2 stars for extremely poor customer service. They claim a two year warranty. I purchased this watch new here, and sure enough it came with a stamped warranty card in the box. Inquired about a new keeper for the strap, as it tore somehow shortly into its life - a small cheap part, which I would pay for if needed, but I simply inquired about through Ratio's customer service official email address on their company website. After they asked me to provide screenshots of my invoice, etc to confirm that I bought it new, the price, the invoice #, the model #, etc, everything checks out - they then respond with a runaround and say to try to contact someone at amazon for support. So, the watch is nice, but the customer support is awful. Good luck getting any parts or service or honoring of warranty from Ratio.... The watch manufacturer has refused any service, even as far as a simple part as a rubber keeper or strap which I would be willing to order. They do not honor the warranty. The seller here on Amazon does not respond, nor honor warranty either. BEWARE. Once you purchase the watch, there is no service, so the "warranty" is false.

great watch so far :)
What a bargain ! great looking dive watch with helium valve . I use it in a medical hyperbaric chamber so haven't got it wet yet, but it keeps great time and is not to heavy. It appears to be well made and has a solid feel to it which I like. The luminosity is great and its easy to ready at night especially if its been in a bright place during the day. It claims to be 1000m waterproof I cant comment on that but I would be comfortable and will be recreational and tech diving with it ,

A lovely Saffron Sunburst Dial
Just got my Free Diver Ratio 1000 m Helium Safe Automatic, the screw down crown is amazing and for a minute I was wondering how to get the watch initiated. Its a safe guard system and once released you can adjust the date day and time and hacking helps catch the seconds. Today the 18th Sept '25 my Ratio 'PI' watch arrived from amazon aand it is the first day of time keeping with it, so let's see how the watch movement delivers . The lumen is the best among all my watches, almost blue fluorescence and the dial is rather more Saffron in color and a beautiful Sunburst dial. Ratio does not have a service centre but it should be able to be serviced by local professional watch keepers! Will update this review after a good use of the watch
