This is a fantastic set. I have now purchased 4 of them. It is excellent for travel, the magnetic pieces work well, and it is not too small. I have given some to my grandchildren who are learning chess and are enthusiastic about playing. The pieces are well made and have the classic appearance.

I wanted an inexpensive chess set for learning the game. This fits the bill perfectly. I don't expect to be traveling with it; I'm leaving it out on a table at home. The magnetic feature keeps the pieces from getting jostled around or knocked over in case of occasional bumps. For the price, the pieces are well made. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Perfect. Not too small not too big. Wooden look. Comes with mesh bags to hold the pieces. Foldable board and pieces fit inside. Nice looking pieces that are also magnetic with felt on bottom so it has a nice feel and thunk when placing.

Excellent but a little bit too big. This is a wonderful chess set. The colors are pleasing and the pieces are nicely detailed. This is the ideal travel set except that it is slightly too big. There should be a 10" option for situations like trains and planes. This is good for a camping trip but a little too big if you want to play a friend on a plane or a train. Still, 5 stars for quality.

Good for more than traveling. Magnets on each piece keeps them in place whenever my younger children bump the board.

Nice little set, pieces are easy to stylish and easy to see. It’s not real wood, which may or may not bother you. It’s my go-to for short trips and I just want a chess set. Good value.

The chess sets are made of good quality materials, and children play with them at school.
