Our house has used soda makers for many years, went through 3 different Sodastreams and typically make 7-8 bottles daily. We don’t do any syrups or additives, just want super carbonated plain water. After our last soda maker (Terra) started malfunctioning I researched the options and decided to try the MySoda Glassy. My requirements were that I could continue to use the same CO2 mail service (Soda Sense - they are great!) and that it would be a screw-in canister (not quick connect as I think those are inefficient). And having glass containers is a real game changer!! Now our water tastes like it is out of an actual soda gun. It stays colder in the fridge. This is a product that costs a little more but the value really seems to be that much better. I also bought the extra Amazon insurance just in case it doesn’t last, but so far we couldn’t be happier.

After watching a couple of documentaries about microplastics, I decided to ditch buying LaCroix and go for a soda machine in glass. I've had a sodaStream before It lasted me well over 10 years, I love that the my glassy is compatible with the CO2 that I used for the SodaStream and that I can refill and return the CO2 cartridges. It seems easy enough to use You lock in the CO2 cartridge, you lock in your glass bottle, you close the door and press the button on the top. Unfortunately, when I open that little door there is water everywhere. Bonus points, it's carbonated. But I definitely don't want to have to clean my counters every time I use something for $200. The glass bottles are really nice they're sturdy They feel like they will last and if I accidentally tap the edge of it on a countertop it's not going to shatter. Also as a sidebar with dynamic pricing rolling out I feel like we should all be putting what we pay for these things out publicly.

It seems a bit bulky at the beginning, but overall it is very beautiful. I particularly like the folding mechanisms for screwing in the bottles and gas containers. I also find the colours very harmonious. After a few weeks of use, however, you can already see signs of wear on the flap. Not bad, but not really nice either. All in all, a very harmonious appliance, made in Europe and with real glass bottles that have no expiry date.

The Glassy sits at the premium end of the home carbonator market and largely earns it, though not for the reasons the marketing emphasizes. The body material is the genuine differentiator: a 60/40 blend of polypropylene derived from crude tall oil and wood fibre — both sawmill and pulp industry byproducts. This isn't greenwashing through packaging — the structural material itself is bio-derived. The wood composite also produces a matte, anti-static surface that doesn't show fingerprints and dampens operating noise compared to standard ABS plastic units. It feels and sounds more substantial than SodaStream's lineup. The sliding door mechanism solves a real glass-bottle safety problem. Carbonating under pressure in glass requires a containment strategy — the Glassy's door keeps the bottle enclosed during carbonation, which addresses the burst risk that makes competitors' glass-bottle implementations nervous engineering. The quick-lock quarter-turn bottle attachment is reliable and fast. The critical purchase consideration: the glass bottle is proprietary to the Glassy and not cross-compatible with other Mysoda models or competitor machines. The plastic PET bottle included in the kit works with other Mysoda units. CO2 cylinder compatibility is broad — standard screw-in cylinders from any manufacturer work; SodaStream Quick Connect cylinders do not. In Canada, standard-thread refill availability is thinner than SodaStream's exchange network, so verify your local refill options before buying into this ecosystem over a SodaStream or Aarke. Design awards from iF and Red Dot are real, and in this case they track with actual build quality rather than being decorative credentials. This is a better-built object than most of its competition. Whether that justifies the price premium depends entirely on how much you care about the object sitting on your counter versus just having carbonated water.

Après de long mois d’hésitation, je me suis lancée et toute la famille est conquise: Ecologique grâce à l’utilisation des bouteilles en verre, notre poubelle de contenants respire! De plus nous constatons une diminution de la consommation de sel puis que nous utilisons l’eau du robinet. Elle est facile d’utilisation, les cartouches de gaz sont simples à installer .

Ich bin richtig zufrieden mit dem Mysoda Glassy Wassersprudler. Er sieht einfach super aus und wirkt deutlich hochwertiger als viele andere Sprudler – passt perfekt in die Küche. Die Glasflasche finde ich besonders angenehm, fühlt sich einfach besser an als Plastik und ist auch nachhaltiger. Die Bedienung ist total unkompliziert, einmal drücken und man hat schnell frisches Sprudelwasser, genau so wie man es mag. Was mir auch gefällt: Er ist stabil, steht gut und macht insgesamt einen sehr durchdachten Eindruck. Man merkt, dass hier Wert auf Design und Qualität gelegt wurde. Für mich eine klare Empfehlung, wenn man einen stylischen und zuverlässigen Wassersprudler sucht 👍
