Stopped working after a month

TARGET Darts Virt Dartboard Camera System, Bought as a gift however, I do also own one and have used it for around 6 months. The first time setting it up was pretty much straight forward you get a basic bracket to mount to the wall along with the necessary wall fixings. I would say this does need to be fixed pretty much straight and centre of the board so would advise you take your time in mounting this. Mod wise there is a few options that can be bought if your looking for a different way to mount this camera however, not completely necessary. The other necessary item you need would be lighting, now you can get the light ring from any brand of your choice or the Target corona as the camera doesn't have good optics in low light making it very hard for the opponent and yourself to see the board on screen. Now this doesn't count the score you will still have to do this manually however, it does kinda stop cheating in the game and i have used this to play with friends online so your not just limited to solely play online players. This does also only work with Darts counter APP respectively which can be downloaded for Android and Apple uses if you prefer a simply setup using a tablet. The most frustrating thing about the Vert is the fact it took ages in order to find my WiFi and make a connection. Even now it does take a while to pick up a connection and project it to the tablet even though the Router isn't that far away from the device itself. Although i do like the fact the tablet or computer doesn't have to be directly connected to the vert itself like other brands so the tablet in my case can be placed away from the board. The other complaints i get is the fact the lower board is hard to see its not completely blocked you can still see the bottom of the board its just slightly harder if looking on a smaller screen hence good lighting is needed and there are no controls for zooming in and out. Overall connection wise using Android on tablet i haven't had any disconnection i do have to wait a while for the camera to otherwise pick up a connection though. Does need good lighting otherwise it hard to see the camera doesn't fair well in low light situations. The App is really good and playing online most players do ask for a camera game hence the reason for purchase however, playing with friends in the comfort of your own home is also nice. Haven't had any heating issues with the vert it does get warm however, not hot. From my experience im happy with the purchase at £250 its competitive to have a wireless connection as apposed to others where you need a computer to plug into. Does have its flaws otherwise its a good product.

Brilliant bit of kit. I had previously bought the omni scoring system and was using my tablet or phone as a camera on a stand to show online darts with friends. But it was annoying all the time faffing about setting up. Now just one button and boom I can live stream darts with friend. Yes it’s very expensive for what it is but it’s going its job very well.very easy to set up on the dart counter app.

IT DOES NOT and CAN NEVER score or capture your darts!!! This needs to be made more clear. Vague language like “track scores” and “dart counter” may be misleading. It is a dual-facing CAMERA only, it does nothing else. For what it is, it is an overpriced WiFi enabled webcam. If that’s what you need, congrats, you’ve got it. Of course, webcams are 1/4 that price - you could buy 4 webcams and use the autodarts app and get both live streaming and darts counting for the same price. Be informed. Returned. Keeps losing connection and freezing up. Not what I thought it would be. Just an expensive camera. Thought it would auto score but still had to manually put score in the app.

Very misleading and quite expensive just for a glorified web cam! The description suggests it works with an App called Dart Counter, thinking it'll auto score for you but it doesn't at all! It merely just lets other on-line players see you throw and what you've thrown on the dartboard! If you want to auto-score download Dartsmind, sign up for £12.99/yr and it's brilliant, save yourself £240'odd quid!!!!

Edit: completely stopped connecting to my iPad a couple days before I can’t return it. It’s going back and I edited my rating. If this happened a week later I’d have a 300$ piece of unusable plastic. Awesome concept but after playing for a month I am returning it… here is why, The cameras are great to play social with friends. Or make new ones, when it works…. Most games require a camera especially when you play a tournament…. Well tonight I was finally doing great winning a tournament and wouldn’t you know it my camera started to drop out so I had to stop and reconnect it to keep going… well you can only pause so many times and there is no easy way to reconnect the camera…. So I lost the final round because my camera dropped for the 6th time during our match……. And I think it was only the camera facing the board… every time…….. These things are cool for sure but really I rather just save for a Omni that counts the darts for me cause this one doesn’t. Anyways if you’re just playing for fun and you don’t mind resetting your camera all the time it might be for you…. If your getting into dart more, save for the Omni I learned my lesson.

Funktioniert super, wenn man gutes wlan in der Nähe (mindestens 30 kbit/s), es. Bringt nochmal ein neues Level zum online Dartspiel. Spiele ausschließlich gegen Menschen mit dieser Kamera, macht richtig Spaß zu sehen wie die sich freuen und ärgern. Hotspot vom Handy funktioniert hier nicht. Ein Stern Abzug für den absurden Preis.

Mega enttäuschend! Für das Geld in Kombination mit der App hätte ich mir mehr erwartet… Eine dauerhafte Verbindung zwischen iPad oder iPhone war nie möglich. Während dem Spiel Stieg dann auch die Kamera aus und ließ sich während dem Spiel auch nicht mehr verbinden. Generell hat es immer sehr lange gedauert, bis überhaupt eine Verbindung zum Gerät hergestellt wurde. Lange bedeutet: viele viele Versuche mit Neuanmeldungen, WLAN-Wechsel, etc. nicht einfach nur lange, sondern verzweifelnd lange.
