This item is for VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda and all VAG 1.8T's. It will also fit all VAG 2.7 Bi-Turbo engines, Porsche 911/996 turbo's,Ford focus RS and Renault Clio's. This is a DUMP VALVE which is also known as a 'Diverter Valve' and is used to dump the charge-air back into the air intake system,keeping externasl noise to a minimum. This increases both quicker throttle response and higher clamping load to maintain boost pressure so it is more reliable. This is a closed loop valve and protects the turbo by lowering lag between gear changes, thus prolonging the life of the turbo and increasing performance. The standard valves fitted are re-known for failing and leaking the boost pressure. You will definately need ones of these if your car is remapped. This is the correct valve for VAG engines. We do not sell blow off valves as they can damage the engine and cause unnessessary engine management lights and leak boosts.
