This was my first but definitely not my last. It is so cute and was so easy. The pieces fit together snugly , directions are in color and fantastic. I love the little battery door on the back. And the front piece of the diorama snaps on last making it easy to remove if the need should arise to adjust something inside. In my case I did not tape the light’s touch pad securely enough to the ceiling inside for it to sense my finger on top and turn on and off the light. It was a simple 10 second fix. I removed the front piece , added a piece of tape to the lights touch pad on the ceiling and snapped the front piece back on. - I will mention you need to buy your own glue with this, I just used Elmers, as it did not come with glue.

Very cute. Finally bought one and spent an evening constructing the nook. The instructions were ok but I found the video tutorial was easier to follow.First time building one of these and I didn't have ant problems. Nor did I have any errors ' follow each step.in order and don't remove the parts until you need them. The kit includes some extra parts. You will need AAA batteries, glue, tape and scissors. Towards the end of the build, tiny little clips were a challenge, so I used a clip to hold the small piece - tweezers, fine needlenose pliers can help. This was my first project snd I enjoyed it. Amazing detail.

Assembled this during Christmas break with my teenager. It took us roughly two hours from start to finish while watching a movie in the background. We are classic book lovers in our family and you’ll often find us perusing bookstores wherever we go. We even make it a point to find bookstores while on vacatIon to find a vintage book as a souvenir. This delightful bookshop will add a fun piece of decor to our home library. We appreciated that extras of some of the smallest pieces were included in case any broke during construction, though we didn’t need any of them. Pieces fit snuggly and were measured precisely. Glue is not included, but we already had liquid glue on hand. A pair of scissors is handy to have available, as well. Assembly instructions were clear and quality of materials were better than expected for this price point. Lighting works well and the door to replace batteries (not included) is designed with a swinging door and locking mechanism that is unique. Would purchase from this company again.

My wife really wanted to try building one of these so I surprised her with one and it came in yesterday; she was so excited. She and our 10 year old put it together and it took an hour and a half. It does require AAA batteries (not included) for the lighting inside. It is so cute and sits nicely on your book shelf. I’ve included photos of what it looks like in the daytime and what it looks like glowing in the dark on the shelf next to a larger book (for size reference). I definitely would recommend this book nook because it was a great price (got it on sale for like $26.99), was easy to put together, was great craftsmanship, great bonding hobby and wonderful for book obsessed people (my wife reads so much, she has a mini library going on in the bedroom). My wife recommends it and says 5/5 stars! If you’re a beginner, this is great for you.

What you'll need: 2 AAA batteries, glue, and scissors or x-acto knife. For the most part, I liked it. Pretty easy to put together. Nice and sturdy. Most of the parts are easily removed from the board and some include spares. Everything looked nice when put together. Also the plug in led light and touch switch was easy to install. I had problems with the hanging plant and it cracked at the hanging tassel. Didn't like that some parts that needed to be glued on the front were stickers (which is why you'll need scissors bc they weren't able to be punched out). Also didn't care for the sticker origami books bc the instructions weren't the best and the pages were one long sticker so if you aren't careful it'll be ruined easily. I chose not to use the gold sticker on the "owl bookstore" area and let the light shine through instead. Also put the picture stickers on the leftover plexiglass to make them sturdier when gluing them. Over all it's still a good beginner+ kit.

This one was super easy. Difficulty level 2 of 5. Definitely great for beginners. Finished it in about 3 hrs including drying time for all the need to glue pieces. Didn't break any pieces but there were a few fragile pieces, just have to becareful. Instructions were very easy to follow.

Incredibly well-made. I’ve purchased three over the years, one for me and two for gifts. Incredibly detailed, all parts included, easy to assemble, and a joy to build. Is she a bit pricey, yes, but now that I’ve built a book nook, I believe the price and quality are aligned. A less expensive product may be less reliable.

Had a fun time setting this up. Comes with a instruction manual. Batteries are not included in the box.

While this is for teens/ adults with the patience to punch out tiny balsa wood pieces carefully, it does not require high craft skill. It was fun and satisfying, taking a couple evenings to put together— maybe just one with a friend. The lighting element is very slick - it has a touch on/off which is accessible without having to flip it over or around, as i have encountered elsewhere. The end result is a lovely little addition to my bookshelf.

Bestttttestt thing

Got this for my daughter who loves to read and do puzzles. It was a hit. She loved putting it together and it's so cute! Love that it has a light inside to light up the library. Great gift!

We loved making this booknook following the instructions. It was really fun.
