Brussel's Bonsai - Small Juniper Live Bonsai Tree, Potted Outdoor Plant

Honestly one of the best last minute gifts you can get someone. The ones I ordered looked amazing straight out of the box. Impressed my grandma quite a bit on Christmas. Great value for your money. Highly recommended for anyone in any situation.

As a bonsai hobbyist, my wife gave me a gift card to add to our collection. I went on Amazon and ordered this Juniper for 30,00 and was blown away on how beautiful and healthy the tree was compete with a great ceramic pot for the price. The bonsai soil was sprinkled with a slow release fertilzer and was of high quality. The plant was secured safely in the box nestle in a styrofoam square which protected the pot and plant. In the photo, you will see I added a black tray (from take out food :) with black pebbles from the Dollar store. You need to keep the bonsai watered and misted with either rain or spring water. They also need to go through a dormant period in the winter, but not below 20 degrees. Also watch a ton of videos on their care and you will do fine.

Plant is healthy and beautiful. UPDATE: Plant is dead. It arrived looking good - and it still does, kind of. The green is still green but it is beginning to fall off. It is dry to the touch, even though the soil is damp, and the green flakes off when touched. When I received the plant O placed the pot in a bowl with 3/4" of mineral water and have monitored the water daily for three weeks and it's getting dryer. This is sad because I loved my little Juniper.

My tree died shortly after I got it. It may have gotten too hot during shipping. It seemed to be packaged well but the soil was very dry. I watered it immediately after unboxing it. The under side of the foliage felt like it was a little dry but it was still soft and green on the top side. I continued to water the tree, keeping the soil moist. The tree continue to dry up from the bottom up. It is now crunchy and dead. I have many other healthy plants and have a green thumb usually. After being very excited, I'm now very disappointed.

I bought this item for my mother-in-law who enjoys gardening. She has a flower garden as well as a vegetable garden. I always have a hard time figuring out what to get her, so I decided to go with this. It's something that she can fiddle with, even during the winter months here in Minnesota. I can not attest to its long term health, but when I received it, it was green and looked healthy. The base was unbroken and was well packaged. Wrapped in a saran wrap to keep the soil moist and intact for transit. I'm 100% satisfied with this purchase and if I had use of it, I'd purchase again. I had no delusions on what size the tree would be when I got it from other reviews and I was just fine with that. The fact that it takes 3 to 4 years for the tree to reach this size is pretty amazing. The tree itself probably stood about 7 inches tall, not including the little bowl it came in. The bowl was a deep blue color ceramic material and just right for the little tree. I'm no gardener and have no green thumb so I know very little on these things. But, the tree looked good when I got it and she was very pleased with it.

Died after one winter. Nice looking starter bonsai. I left it out to over winter and it died, never came out of dormancy. I followed the direction provided. I’m sure I did something wrong but I emailed to asked some guidance and never got a response.

Perfect gift

It was cool but my wife killed it.
