I bought the twin XL size. I'm 5'5" and weigh 220lbs. I'm surprised at how long and wide the twin XL size is, in a good way! It's not HUGE or even close to being full or queen size but even for my body, the twin XL is very generous and I have plenty of room to lay down and stretch out. As others have stated, there is a strong smell of wilderness. Imagine the scent of grass you get when you visit the zoo, that's basically it. But, in my opinion, it's a comforting and soothing scent! I don't mean to say it smells like feces-flinging monkeys, it's just a strong scent of rush grass so be prepared for that. The tatami mat is on the thin side but that suits me just fine because I plan on folding this up every morning when I awake so the less space it takes up, the better. It folds nicely and the only reason it gets 4 stars for sturdiness is because the three sections are held together with looped string (albeit, a lot of it) but I can only hope it holds up over time. It just looks like something that a person who is rough will be able to demolish if they don't fold/treat this tatami mat properly and gently.
