Swapping out the lower filters is straightforward with the included housing wrench. This is my second system, we purchased a vacation home and wanted to enjoy the same quality water there as we do at home. Our area has very hard water and requires frequent cleaning to remove deposits. This system has had a deposit free faucet for 9 years while I have had to replace shower heads 3 times. This system is identical to the one we purchased in 2016 and installation was very easy. The hardest part was drilling a hole in the granite counter top then cleaning up the mess. The instruction book is easy to follow and provides the list of tools you'll need. There isn't any real plumbing experience needed just review the instructions carefully first and follow them and it will go smooth. The kit comes with feed line adapters for most installs so confirm before beginning. Having the under sink space and planning where the lines will go before you start is also a very good idea. The only tip I can come up with is to use the right amount of teflon tape on the storage tank and tighten the top valve until snug and then when the system is on come back and check for leaks and tighten the top until the leaks stop. Installing the filters into the manifold was easy, just follow the order. It is easier to tighten the filter housing with the unit on its side. I opted to mount it on the wall across from the dishwasher about 1/2 inch off the cabinet floor and this was easy but the instructions say its not needed, I just like it being off the counter floor. I was concerned with over-tightening so I had to tighten it over a few hours but once water stopped showing up I knew it was good to go. Drilling the hole into the drain line was easy enough but removing it really helped out. The instructions state the tank is already pressurized so no pump is needed, just don't open the faucet until you are ready to begin flushing the filters. I opted to add the ice maker kit to this and installing that at the same time was very easy and no mess. Over the years we have measured the water quality from this RO system and am still amazed and how low the TSS readings are compared to tap or even fridge filtered water. The water purity isn't even close, this system removes everything. The PH filter adds back in the right amount to give the water a pleasant taste that everyone prefers over plastic bottled filtered water. We have never had to run vinegar through our coffee machine, tea kettle, and the rice cooker/instapot are easier to clean up too. Given some of the problems with water in the news I wanted to be safer than sorry as this is cleaner, more cost effective, and better all around than getting filtered water delivered or plastic bottles of water.

I’ve been extremely happy with the APEC ROES-PH75 system. Installation was straightforward with clear instructions, and the build quality feels solid and well thought out. The water quality difference was immediate — noticeably cleaner taste, no odors, and much smoother than our previous filtered water. The added alkaline/mineral stage is a big plus. The water doesn’t taste “flat” like some RO systems can, and it’s been great for drinking, coffee, and cooking. Flow rate is excellent, and the tank refills quickly. After testing our water, contaminants dropped dramatically, giving real peace of mind. , this feels like a professional-grade system at a fair price. Would absolutely buy again and recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality under-sink RO system.

Whether you have an existing RO or not, this unit works very well and is relatively easy to install if you are handy. I use a TDS meter and it comes out between 25-33 ppm which is great for drinking. Also having an alkaline filter attached gives you a healthier water for you and your household.

Replaced an older system with this. Installing it was easy and the instructions were superior. Works much better than my old Dupont system which I could no longer get filters for. The instructions say you can drink the water after one cycle but the water was a bit cloudy. After 3 cycles the water came out clear. I recommend you do this. The system recharges in about 2 hours.

Seems to be a good system overall, but do yourself a favor and completely disassemble the entire setup prior to installing. They don't use any thread sealant nor do they fully seat/tighten the threaded nylon fittings on the 3 sediment and carbon filters. This is sure to leak and likely the issue with other negative reviews. Don't fret! The fix is easy for anyone with a modicum of mechanical ability, a Phillips screwdriver, and thread tape laying around. It's frustrating to have to completely remove, disassemble, and dry up a watery mess in a new 24" base cabinet after installing so be sure to inspect and fix it first. It's absolutely less hassle to fix than deal with a return. Instructions were outstanding and ease of installation was a breeze. Just let it sit in the cabinet, no need to mount (as per the instructions recommendation) and makes for easy future maintenance -early remove the whole filter assembly for filter changes right over the sink. Last thing I'll mention is be sure to wash out the insides of the filter housings prior to assembly. There was a little bit of debris in each one.

This water filter is really doing a fantastic job. I'm so impressed with how well it's performing. The water quality coming out is absolutely excellent. It tastes so much better now. Definitely a great purchase!

I installed this water filtration system in October 2025, and the setup was surprisingly straightforward. Everything was clearly designed- no confusion, no unnecessary steps. It felt like something a normal person could actually install without turning it into a full-day project. What makes this review worth writing, though, is what happened after. I live in a 100-year-old house, so water quality has always been in the back of my mind. Before installing this system, my bloodwork showed elevated lead levels (3.3 mcg/dL). After several months of using the filter consistently, my most recent labs (March 2026) came back at <1.0 mcg/dL—well within the normal range. I want to be honest: I can’t prove with absolute certainty that this system alone caused that drop. I didn’t run a controlled experiment. But I also didn’t change anything else in my environment or routine that would logically explain a decrease like that. Same house, same pipes, same lifestyle. So while I’m careful not to overstate it, the correlation is strong enough that I trust this system is doing something meaningful. At minimum, it gives me peace of mind and a delicious glass of water. At best, it may have materially improved my health. Either way, I’d make the same decision again.

The APEC ROES-PH75 is a great reverse osmosis water system that I would recommend. - it uses standard 10" x 2.5" filters for sediment and carbon--the ones that require replacing most frequently--are available under many brand names at orange box retailer and others. This is my main reason for selecting this tank system over a tankless. The tankless was 2x the price but the filters even more. Seems like NO tankless use standard filters except for very low GPD models that are too slow for on-demand drinking water. - This system is not just WQA Gold Seal Certified but also meets NSF/ANSI 58 although that was tough to track down. - The quick connect tubes are easy to use; they leak a tiny bit during install but once in position they do not. - Comes with a spare set of 3 filters for sediment and carbon which was unexpected. - The provided faucet is good looking. - The first tank of water is cloudy but after that its clear. - I opted for the remineralization which i think makes it taste almost sweet? - The APEC support by email was great. I lost a stainless nut behind the cabinet and support was timely and good. I would like an valve for bypassing the remineralization (additive) filter? process for aquariums and simply to sample the difference.

Does the job but leaked after first use had to resolve with tech support. There was internal hose not connected correctly. Water pressure isn’t very strong but could be part of my pressure tank issue. I’d only buy this if great water pressure as there is no pump.
