Great price, performs perfectly, direct replacement.
White vans have been running this county for decades. Sometimes though they do need a little care and attention to keep them moving and running as they should. For a few weeks now mine hasnt been running right and has been suffering from a distinct lack of power. It’s horrible to drive and has been off the road. By the time I booked it in at my friends garage, it was feeling very underpowered and could barely pull up a hill empty so fully loaded there would have been no chance. Once plugged into the obd-2 reader we found what the engine management light was telling me, it was a p0299 fault code showing a underboost fault. The first port of call was to check the boost pipes to look for splits in the pipework but in doing this it was fairly clear what the problem was, the intake pipe where it attached to the turbo was goosed and it had been blowing back oil onto the turbo actuator for quite some time. Over what could have been months it had gunked and locked up the actuator so it only had about 20% movement and therefore the turbo was not working. It was simple to remove the pipes and fit a second hand intake pipe and this new actuator. I cleaned everything and reset the obd-2 fault. Im guessing it had been failing for a while and I had not noticed the initial loss in power at first until became a major problem because now it feels like a new engine’s been fitted. The actuator was really easy to fit being a direct replacement and the whole thing was done in about an hour. It’s a perfect replacement thats significantly cheaper than a OEM part. The van is running perfectly and I would have no hesitation in recommending this part. It’s fairly priced in my opinion and I’m delighted with it. I hope you find my experiences helpful.

Restores smooth boost and factory performance
I fitted this G88 turbo actuator on a Ford Transit 2.2 TDCi (2013) as a replacement for a failing original unit, and it went on without much hassle. It lines up perfectly with the OEM mounting points and connectors, so installation was just a straight swap. Once fitted and properly adapted, it connected to the system without any issues or warning lights. On the road, the difference was obvious. Boost control feels smooth again, especially under load, and the van pulls more consistently through the gears. Before, I was getting uneven turbo response and occasional limp mode behaviour, but that’s completely gone now. It feels like the engine has its confidence back, with much more predictable acceleration and no hesitation. Build wise, it feels solid and well put together, not cheap or flimsy. It’s clearly made to do the job reliably rather than be fancy.
