Short lifespan
It states it will work for up to 30.000 hours. Mine worked very well for 720 hours, then it suddenly stopped working. This is just after Amazon closes the return-window.

Fantastic bit of kit
This is really effective. It has a very strong magnet, but it is easy to remove. I wouldn't recommend it if you are precious about your paintwork. The cable is very long so you can reach anywhere on your roof. There are several different modes, controlled from the adaptor. Fantastic value for money. I feel much safer now I have it

After looking around for some sort of warning light to be used on a piece of equipment when it is being used adjacent to a highway, this rather versatile beacon appeared on the radar. So, it was ordered. The beacon arrived in short order -- 2 days. And, was in good condition. It measures 3-7/8" in diameter and 4" tall. The illuminated portion is 2-1/4" high. The cord is around 8' long and has the normal cigarette lighter power plug which includes ON/OFF and Flash Mode buttons. Yes, this light is blue. And, that is a color normally reserved for law enforcement. Which is why it was chosen: Drivers see blue lights, they automatically slow down and behave a bit more sanely. Resulting in a safer operation. I like the 12/24-volt power supply options because it can be powered by a power tool battery in situations where a lighter plug isn't available. Its effectiveness remains to be seen. One observer says it is bright. Maybe I was expecting too much because I wanted extra-bright! Time will tell.
