Snow Village National Lampoons Christmas Vacation the Griswold Holiday House Lit Building, 7.48 Inch, Multicolor

I just got this delivered to me yesterday. And I can't say how happy I am with this product. First of all I'm a Christmas Vacation fanatic, I absolutely love that movie, so when I saw this collection I ordered every single piece I could find. This was the last piece that was delivered. When I first plugged it in I thought the lighting was a bit poor..... That is till I found the magic button on the back off the house....AMAZING!!! It litt up all the exterior lights just like the blinding the neighborhood part in the movie. I literally heard my self sing out loud "Joy to the World" .... Lol. Then I discovered if you hit the button again it makes then twinkle. So you actually get Three settings which this house. Absolutely beautiful!!! I don't know how long these lights will last in long term, if something goes wrong I will update but the fresh out off the box theory left me breathless and very happy. For the people complaining about the price, if you actually log in to Department 56, these homes go for a much higher price. Your buying a name brand not a Walmart knock off. And as for the comments about it not being exactly like the Grizwalts house, you can see that in the picture before you buy it it's not a surprise when you open the box, yet when you set it up Christmas Vacation is the first thing that pops in your mind, regardless the fact that there are some differences and a missing garage. That's just my opinion.

This is BEAUTIFUL. A must have for every Christmas Vacation fan. The twinkling lights are my favorite. It’s great quality and I can’t wait to keep adding to it. Happy to have caught it while it was on sale too!

I have searched for this item through different websites and Amazon was the lowest price and the quality of the item is very detailed and very bright when lit up.

Such an amazing addition to a Christmas village. Much larger than most village pieces, but high quality just like all Department 56 products. 3 fun light settings (lights on inside house, lights on inside and outside, lights flashing) with easy to use button on back of house. Can’t wait to get the characters to go along with it! Pro tip: wait until Black Friday for huge savings!

Still works all these years latter and even being stored in Attic when not in season. Great Detail no light burned out yet.

If you love the movie, you'll love the figurine! Nice size and good quality. I'm not one to normally collect things...nor previously been into Christmas villages in general. But last year I happened to be at Macy's and saw this collection. I came home and promptly ordered Cousin Eddie's "RV" and accompanying figurine of him announcng the sh*tter's full. Long story short, I gave them to my sibling's for Christmas. My brother kept his in his work cubicle and had people flipping about how awesome it was and threatening to steal it. Anyway, I am adding the Griswold's house and figuring of Clark to the collection this year. And continue adding til have the other items in this collection. In the next to impossible chance Dept 56 is reading this, I wold love it if you added the Hawaiian themed swimming pool and model on the diving board for the backyard. Amazon's prices appear to be the most competitive. So buy this and find out who your real friends are based on their ability to identify the awesomeness displayed on top of your piano, etc.

I ordered this house, along with many of the other parts of this set up. Spent a lot of money on it. The house worked great the first year. We used the same packaging it came in, made sure to store it in a tub where it could not get damaged or bumped in any way. I pulled the house out this year, a bunch of the bulbs do not work. They are the bulbs in the middle front part of the roof so it doesn’t look good without them lit. I contacted the department 56 customer line. The man I spoke to said they do not supply/sell replacement parts for this house. I asked how I would go about getting it fixed and he said they don’t have a repair shop. So basically if the lights ever stop working, that is just the situation and the end of it. I could understand that if it were a cheap item. But if you are going to sell something that costs so much, expect people to need to buy replacement parts! In total I’ve spent close to 1000.00 on this set. And the largest part of it (the house) now doesn’t work. I was more then willing to buy whatever part I needed to fix it. I cannot speak about anything else department 56 sells. This is the only set I have purchased from them. But if you do buy this house, be aware that it may stop working within a year, and you can’t exchanged it or get it fixed at that point. So it may just be a 1 time use decoration. I would not pay what I did, to use it once.

The Griswold house is AMAZING!!!! This is one of my all time favorite movies and we watch it at least once every Christmas. I was absolutely thrilled to find this house for sale to add to my Dept 56 collection. The price tag is steep but all Dept 56 houses are expensive, yet worth it in my opinion due to the detail and quality.. The home is VERY bright with all the exterior lights and is just gorgeous. I can't speak to the longevity of the lights because I just bought it, but am very happy at this time!

so pleased i bought this and the house. you can get cheaper on here but you get what you pay for in this world. well made and great material.

La amo Está increíble , la mejor compra que hice

It is just as described. Love it and will add on to it next year. Kimberly

Over The Moon Came in amazing condition and Delivered Perfectly thank you.

Super expensive but it is really cool, got the garage and RV also. My boyfriend is obsessed with Christmas village pieces, personally I don't think it's worth the cost but for huge fans maybe someone could find value
