This lens is simply great. VC is at its best compared to Canon lenses. Using this on Canon 77D so getting benefit of crop sensor (112-320mm) and bokeh is lovely. Attached few sample images here.

Great experience and to end. It went on an amazing sale and I needed a 70-200 f/2.8. I received it very quickly, and have been using it for a month. It’s finding its way Into my day to day photography, and I always regret it when I don’t have it in my backpack. Tack sharp, and amazing accurate and quick autofocus. Almost silent too. Love it love it love it :-) great results on both R5 (with the Canon adaptor) and my old 6D.

Others have said this but the switches for IS or VC as Tamron call it, are very easy to hit accidentally whilst shooting as they protrude from the surface quite a lot. It’s not a big thing but you have to get into the habit of checking they are set to ON if you ever have the camera hanging by your side during a shoot. If you’re shooting weddings, which are fast paced, you do sometimes fire off a few shots before you realise the image isn’t as stable as it should be in the viewfinder.As for the quality of the images, they are great, sharp where they need to be and the out of focus areas are beautifully smooth.I have it paired with an R6 (with adaptor) and 5D4. Works perfectly on both.It really is a great deal considering the Canon offering is probably double the price. If you need absolute top of the line reliability then I suppose Canon would have the edge but if you shoot portraits/headshots/close sports this lens punches way above its price!Hope this is helpful.

Obiettivo di classe, comparabile con gli omologhi originali. Nitidezza ottima da 70 a 150mm (circa), sopra resta molto buona ma a confronto con il 70-200 IS f4, è appena meno nitido. Le differenze sono minime e rilevabili con scatti fatti su cavalletto, autoscatto, soggetto immobile. Utilizzabile a tutta apertura senza problemi. I risultati a mano libera sono rimarchevoli grazie alla stabilizzazione efficace. Molto buona la resa dei colori, anche se diversa da quella dei Canon 70-200mm.Particolarmente adatto ai ritratti dove ha una resa eccellente, quanto alla tridimensionalità dei volti (sembrerebbe un controsenso per una foto in 2D, ma non so come spiegarlo in altro modo). Buono lo sfocato per uno Zoom.Molto buono anche l'autofocus, veloce e preciso, un filino meno rapido delle ottiche originali.Il collare per treppiedi ha il profilo arca swiss il che è una gran liberazione: montaggio diretto senza adattatori su teste compatibilil.Finitura delicata.Paraluce di qualità non eccelsa, assai sensibile a graffi e segni anche per minimi contatti o sfregature.Un limite dell'ottica è che al diminuire della distanza di messa a fuoco la lunghezza focale dell'obiettivo diminuisce. La differenza di angolo di campo con una messa a fuoco a due o tre metri a 200mm rispetto ai Canon è ... imbarazzante. I Canon restano effettivamente dei 200mm, il 70-200 G2 Tamron forse arriva a 160mm, al massimo.Questa è l'unica vera pecca di un'ottica altrimenti davvero buona.
