Works better than expected. I got this beucase our bird batch was overflowing with algae. I but sceptical how well it wouls work, I dropped 3 drops without cleaning the birdbath to see if it would do anything. In a day all the algae was gone. now I just add a drop every time i clean the birdbath and it keeps it crystal clear.

Bought this after reading positive reviews, andirons does just what it promises. It worked in just over an hour without cleaning the 7ft fountain. It is economical as you only need a drop a week maintenance.my only thing was the expensive postage as it isn't available in the uk and has to come from America but it arrived really quickly. Would recommend it to anyone.

After trying to keep my waterfall clean with 2 other chemicals, I found Fountec. My waterfall holds 3 gallons of water and I just add 2 drops every Sunday when I water my plants - I'm a creature of habit ;-) The waterfall runs 12-14 hours per day and I'm using the same bottle I purchased in 2016. Is it pricey - maybe a little, but what else can you buy that is still working after 10 years? And I still have about 1/3 of the bottle left. I have to add that I started using distilled water when we moved because our water is so hard at our home now. I just purchased an additional fountain for our deck so I ordered a fresh bottle of Fountec because I certainly don't want to run out or have to go shopping around, again, for other chemicals. I drain and clean my waterfall once a year and there is no algae or slimy stuff like we had before Fountec. My husband loves that part. Make sure you follow the chart. I found if you add too much, the area around the waterfall gets a little tacky. This totally eliminates the dirty job of cleaning slime and algae.

Seems to work, though not perfectly
