PHLUR has officially become my go-to deodorant that I wear every single day. Living in Florida, I need something that can actually hold up against extreme heat and humidity, and this deodorant genuinely performs so well. I apply it once in the morning, and it lasts all day long, even through gym workouts and being outside in the heat. While it still allows me to sweat naturally, I never feel like I smell bad when wearing it, which is exactly what I want from an aluminum-free deodorant. One of my favorite things about this deodorant is the scent. It has a very light, pleasant vanilla fragrance that smells clean and subtle without being overpowering. The formula also applies really smoothly and does not feel greasy or sticky under the arms. I especially appreciate that it does not leave behind chunks of residue like some natural deodorants do. I also have very sensitive skin, and this has never caused irritation, redness, or discomfort for me. I really like that the ingredients are fairly clean and aluminum-free because that is something I specifically look for in body care products. While it is definitely a little more expensive than standard deodorants, I honestly think it is completely worth the price for the quality you get. One stick lasts a surprisingly long time too — I have had some last up to six months before needing a replacement. The packaging is also very sleek and posh looking, which makes it feel even more luxurious. Overall, this is one of the best deodorants I have ever used and I will continue repurchasing it.

I absolutely love this deodorant. It smells so good, I don't even need to wear perfume. It goes on easily. It does not irritate my skin. And, it works pretty well to keep body odor at bay for a day. I use it as an anti-chafing product, too. My biggest complaint is that you have to be really careful when it gets down to the last bit because, although there is still a useable amount left, it will just fall right out of the container. Feels like a bit of a waste, but it's not something I want to apply with my fingers, so I end up throwing it away after that happens. It's kinda pricey for the amount you get, but since it acts like a perfume and a deodorant, I'm ok with it. I love Phlur's perfumes, too. The Vanilla Skin perfume is really nice.

If you have sensitive underarms, are prone to flare-ups, or struggle with finding deodorants that don’t clog pores or cause irritation, this is a game-changer. What I Love: No Baking Soda & No Aluminum – This is crucial for anyone with HS or sensitive skin. Baking soda often causes dryness or burns for me, but this formula skips it and still controls odor effectively. No Bumps or Irritation – After weeks of use, zero bumps, redness, or friction. That’s huge for me. Long-Lasting Odor Protection (Really Does Last 48 Hours) – I live in the hot Southern climate, and whether I'm running errands or out for hours, it holds up beautifully and keeps me fresh throughout the day. Clean Ingredients That Actually Work – Ingredients like salicylic acid, arrowroot powder, and tamanu oil do more than mask odor, they keep skin balanced and calm inflammation. The salicylic acid gently exfoliates, which helps prevent clogged pores (a big plus for HS flare-ups). No Residue, No White Marks – It goes on clear and dries down fast. I can throw on a black shirt right after without worrying. Scent – "Father Figure" is warm, earthy, and not overpowering - think subtle sophistication with a gender-neutral vibe. "Vanilla Skin" is soft and slightly sweet but still clean. I layer them sometimes and they blend beautifully. Texture & Application: It’s a smooth solid, not too hard, not too oily. It glides on effortlessly, which matters when your skin is sensitive or healing from a flare. Final Thoughts: If you’re navigating Hidradenitis Suppurativa or just have ultra-sensitive underarms, this deodorant might be your holy grail. No bumps, no stinging, no weird residue - and it actually works. It’s a little pricier than drugstore options, but for the comfort and confidence it gives me daily, it’s worth every penny.

Packaging: Is there supposed to be any sort of sanitary seal on these deodorants? The deodorant was delivered in an Amazon bag mailer, without any other packaging, tape, or shrink wrap. There is a rounded plastic lid within the main lid, but it wasn’t sealed. Used Product: Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed when I opened the bottle and found a hair and specks of dirt/lint on the deodorant itself. See photos. It’s not insanely dirty, but I also wouldn’t want to use the product after someone else did. Nor should I have to. Vanilla Skin Scent: In the bottle, Vanilla Skin smells nice and complex. Not like a fake vanilla or desert. The jasmine note (which I’m generally not a fan of) doesn’t stand out to me. It’s not too feminine. I think it would complement a variety perfumes/colognes with sandalwood esk notes. Scents often give me a headache, but I doubt this one would bother me. It’s not a super strong scent, but it’s not weak either. I can’t speak to how it smells on, but I’m hopeful it would wear well and last— of course these things will vary person to person based on PH etc. Closing thoughts: - I hate reading reviews from people who haven’t tried the actual product, but wanted to warn others of a possible sanitary issue! - I hope this bottle was a return fluke and that new products are sealed properly before leaving the factory. - I plan to ask for refund for this product and go to a store irl to repurchase it. - There’s a lot to look forward to in trying this deodorant. After years of using Native deodorant (and starting to smell skunky, a common report on Reddit) I’m specifically looking for a BHA deodorant to neutralize the source of the oder. I like the scent and hope it will wear well on me. - Unless this product is normally sealed, I suggest you pick up the product irl, so you can inspect it before buying.

This deodorant is really nice and the vanilla skin scent is so soft and pretty it genuinely smells luxurious and clean. On cooler days it works really well and keeps me feeling fresh throughout the day no problem. Where it falls a little short for me is on warmer days or when I’m more active the protection just doesn’t hold up as long as I’d need it to. So it’s definitely more of a fall and winter situation for me personally. The formula feels gentle on the skin and I like that it’s natural. For the right climate and occasions it’s a really lovely deodorant. Just keep your expectations realistic if you run warm or live somewhere hot!

I've been using this brand for almost two years now and I absolutely love them! I was trying to find the best aluminum-free deodorants and all the other brands left me sweaty and smelly but this brand works AMAZING ive worn this in 99 degree weather and I am more on the heavier side and I did not sweat or smell. I love how smooth it rolls on and it doesn't irritate my skin. I have extremely and I mean extremely sensitive skin so I had to stop using deodorant with aluminum and fragrance and this one is the best I've come across. This particular smell I love as well it's so grow and feminine. Excellent product I have never been more happier with a purchase. Thank you to this brand so so much!

I’m not a sweaty person, I just have stinky pits. I swear by lume deodorant but anyone who knows lume knows it’s not a summer deodorant because of the sunburn it can give you, so I’ve been searching for a new summer deodorant. I love my phlur perfumes and at $20 for a deodorant I figured this would work great. I tested it right after getting out of the shower and within an hour of just sitting on my couch my armpits had noticeable bo smell. I then decided to give it an all day wear test the following day, I showered and put it on and went through a whole day hanging out with my baby and friends, halfway through the day I made my sister smell me and she could smell the bo mixed with the deodorant smell. At the very end of the day I was able to smell myself pretty strongly and made my husband (who never can smell my Bo) sniff me and he noticed I didn’t smell good. So if you’re stinky like me, this probably isn’t the deodorant for you. Super bummed because the deodorant does smell nice.

I’ve repurchased this deodorant several times and it’s easily the best aluminum-free deodorant I’ve found. I have sensitive skin and sweat more than average, so finding a deodorant that actually works without causing irritation has been a challenge. While no aluminum-free deodorant completely stops sweating, this one keeps odor under control far better than the other brands I’ve tried and actually helps me feel drier throughout the day. On especially hot days or when I’m sweating a lot, I may reapply, but it does an excellent job keeping sweat odor at bay. The formula glides on smoothly, dries quickly, and never feels sticky. I’ve had no irritation, burning, itching, or darkening of my underarms, even after using it consistently for over a year. It also hasn’t stained any of my clothing. The Vanilla Skin scent is subtle, warm, and pleasant without being overpowering. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, it’s noticeable but not strong. I’ve tried multiple aluminum-free deodorants over the years, and I continue to come back to this one because it simply performs better for me. If you want an aluminum-free option that is gentle on sensitive skin and provides reliable odor protection, this one is absolutely worth trying.
