I have a 10-year-old Cavalier King Charles mix with a grade 3 heart murmur. These supplements have helped us avoid taking the pricy heart medication up till now. Hopefully we can avoid doing that for as long as possible. He definitely is breathing better and recovering faster from walks.

This treat includes all the necessary supplements for cardio health. Instead of buying several supplements and administering separately which can be messy and time consuming, I have this lovely test which my picky dog loves. The treat is soft and malleable so I actually wrap it around her daily medication and she will take the medication without the need for peanut butter. I wish I’d started this supplement when she was younger. They do offer another heart supplement that has less amounts of the necessary ingredients which is suitable for younger dogs.

Addendum to the revew below. Zesty Paws themselves contacted me and issued a full refund. So, kudos to them for standing behind the products they sell. Have no idea whar all the hype is for this item. My dog is NOT a picky eater has never not taken most any flavor snack or treat. Well he absolutely turned his nose up to this one. I even broke it up tried to hide it in his food, nope ate everything else in the bowl but the pieces of that treat, pluck them out put them on the floor. Oh and I almost forgot the most upsetting part.................These are somewhere around $40 ish. They are NON RETURNABLE. Amazon is slipping letting this happen and those 3rd party sellers the junk they sell. Used to be you ordered from Amazon because you knew it would be quality now they're getting just like everone else.

Dog will not eat it, I have to crumble it up then cover it with a topper she likes, and if the topper is gone and only the supplement is left she will refuse to eat it and I'll have to keep adding topper till it's gone - that's fine at home but if I leave her with a boarder, they won't be sitting there for 20 mins watching her eat to make sure. For a vital supplement, especially for dogs with heart disease you would think they'll make it more palatable to ensure the dog gets the benefits.

These have all the vitamins my vet recommended for my dog’s heart. She loves them too! She has very few teeth, and since they’re so soft she can still eat them. We put them in with her food and she snarfs them up.

I would give these a 7 star if I could. Our 15 year old dachshund would weeze so hard whenever she got excited and it was so sad. 1 month into these treats its 95% better.
