This knife seems to be a smaller brand yet they done their research. The shape of the handle, the micarta used (in the green version at least) feels great, the blade shape is VERY optimal, the position of the flipper, the smooth action. Can confirm that in feel, action, and use that this knife is up there in quality with Civivi/Sencut (Great knives that feel like $100+ knives) and the Guardian Eagle feels along the lines of quality as my Mini Praxis and Sencut Sachse. The good action of the Mini Praxis but the better Micarta of the Sachse, yet as thin as the Mini Praxis. Right in the middle on size. Blade choil is large enough to get a lifetime of sharpenings out of it, D2 steel so even with the average grind it takes a good edge and holds it longer than most budget steels. They can come with PVD coating to help further prevent corrosion but honestly you need to deliberately abuse D2 to get it to rust, such as leaving it wet overnight. And that tarnishes even "stainless" steels anyway. From the factory it's hair shaving sharp. That's really good for a factory grind, many knives that cost more come in more dull and you need to nerd out with a diamondplate to get them where you want. Out of the box this is ready to go.My recommendation, start here for a knife. Just start here, maybe even buy spares to keep on hand in case the brand goes viral or blows up then bam prices go up. I am half joking here, getting another soon for sure. The low cost means you won't be afraid to actually use it! Replacement is easy if lost or damaged, yeah we all in the rush of the moment press our knives into service as prybars, scrapers, choppers, meat processing, boat duty, and all sorts of things if the moment calls for it. I know personally if a wrapping machine goes down I am not afraid to cut plastic off the steel roll with this knife like I would be with my $40-50 knives. The low replacement cost just gives me confidence to actually use the blade and not be afraid of forgetting about it in camp, nor chips or dings. The superb high quality makes me want to carry it as much as the more premium blades yet not panic if it's at risk of being used hard. We have a winner here. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ homerun budget knife *by E***M on February 25, 2025* pros: excellent blade centering, real micarta handles, coated D2 steel to add corrosion resistance, strong crisp detent, microscopic blade play, good flipper tab, deep pocket clip, decent opening cutout that's easy enough to spidey flick, thumb ramp and jimping on the back of the blade are pretty good, minimal branding/writing, even grind the entire length on both sides of the blade, very sharp out of the box, unbelievable price for the materials + fit & finish.cons: the liner lock seems a bit thin. not a cause for concern, but I know some won't like it. it does 100% engage with the blade though so that's a plus. the pocket clip is a bit flat; you should be fine with most jeans, but it may struggle with really thick pant material or zippered pockets.neutral: it has ball bearings instead of washers. at this price it will probably be a car/toolbag knife, and I wish it had the gunk resistance of washers, but it's a minor nitpick, and the tradeoff is that it's very "fidget friendly," or in other words, very satisfying to open and close repeatedly like a fidget device.final thoughts: this is peak budget knife. I know there are a ton of really cheap knives here on amazon, but if you're looking at this one, just get it. if you get lots of knives and are curious, it's cheap enough to just grab one. if you're trying to stretch your dollars, you will be very hard pressed to find better value per dollar. if this were the same price as the civivi mini praxis it would be a better deal, and the fact that it's almost half the price is a no-brainer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smooth Opening, Perfect Length, Will Buy Again *by R***A on March 27, 2025* Literally feels like butter! The build is sturdy with a solid weight, the blade is sharp, and my husband loves the blade lengthβ€”it’s perfect for his job. The design and ease of opening are 10/10. Best affordable pocket knife I’ve seen so far.
