Temtop S1+ Smart Air Quality Monitor with Indoor Thermometer Hygrometer

I have congestive heart failure - I've lived with it for years but last summer's fires from out west and Canada, coupled with a supreme heat season took me out for the whole summer. Even inside I had problems breathing. I wanted something fairly inexpensive to just help me identify higher risk days, confirm what the air quality inside our house was, and also show humidity (because I can't breathe when its humid, either). It was a weird mixture re: air quality and humidity but this works GREAT. Its USB charged but honestly I think I've only charged it twice in a month and that was me being proactive, not it showing low battery. It is not backlit. I don't care but FYI if that is a big deal for you.

This is my first indoor monitor with a PM particle readout. I don't know how accurate it is but I know when I have my doors and windows open, I get a higher reading than when I have everything shut and my HEPA air filter is running. The readings do fluctuate throughout the day. One criticism I have is that the display is very hard to read from a distance. If you're right next to it, you can see it but if you are 10 feet away, it's difficult to read. The second criticism is that the app is pretty useless. Every time I open it, I get a notification that "the server is down!" I don't know what the app does outside of keep a history of the readings. That would be very helpful but for now without it working, it's just an on demand current indicator of air quality. Had I know these 2 things, I may have considered a different brand. The battery lasts several weeks so there is no issue there.

This air quality monitor was unreliable and was returned. The air quality index numbers were all over the map, sometimes higher than the reported official outside readings, even with 4 air cleaners in the house.

I guess it’s OK if you want to purchase it, but you can always look at your phone and the weather app to figure out the air quality as I used it for one day, I did not think it was worth it

It works fine. Only thing that wasn't clear to me from the attached document is the measurement interval at certain modes (auto, eco and plugged in). Turns out its 3 minutes on auto and 30 on eco. However, when plugged in it's 1.5seconds. i needed the latter so I have to keep it plugged in. Its okay for this amount of money tho2

I am not sure it is sensitive enough to detect pollution in the air. Recently some construction and repair work was taking place in my building that generated quite a bit of debris and dust. I had an allergy attack. The air quality on the device showed good quality air in terms of aqi and ppm2.5

Ich hatte vorher zur Kontrolle der Feinstaubwerte meines Holzofens (Raumluft Wohnzimmer) zwei andere Modelle im Einsatz die eher zufällig gewürfelte Werte angezeigt haben (auch bei erkennbarem intensiven Rauchgeruch noch AQI im grünen Bereich) . Dieses Gerät hier hat mich positiv überrascht, der PM2.5-Wert wird schnell und glaughaft präzise ermittelt. Jedes Öffnen der Ofentüre wird erkannt und als Auschlag angezeigt. Im Abgangsluftstrom meines ebenfalls gekauften HEPA-Raumluftfilters werden Werte von 8 - 10 mikro Gramm/m3 angezeigt. Das bestätigt die Filterwiksamkeit mit dem von der WHO empfohlenen Grenzwert von 10. Der Akku hält mehrere Wochen ohne Nachladen, toll. Auswertungen über die App funktionieren auch. Von mir volle Kaufempfehlung!

I found this a little tricky to keep the connection ... especially after re-naming the device, but its working well with the default name.
