Orient Electric Apex-FX 1200mm Ceiling Fan (White), Standard

A lot of people still buy Orient because of the nostalgia factor. When we were kids in the 90's we had Orient fans in all the rooms and they ran for decades without any complaint. Orient fans nowadays are not even in the same league when it comes to quality. I bought this fan in June 2023. In about 6 months it's started making funny noises at low speeds. I am a tall guy and I clean the fan blades every 2-3 weeks. What a waste of money.

Update 17th June: Kajal of Amazon customer service had scheduled pickup and refund for the 16th of June. No one turned up from Amazon. No one called / texted from Amazon. In the evening, I contacted Amazon again via messaging centre. Sarfaraz from Customer Service apologised profusely. However - no action taken. I asked him to arrange pickup and refund of defective item for today 17th of June. He said okay - but again, no action taken. So net-net folks, seems like Amazon and Cloudtail are not going to refund my money. I had not expected this from Amazon nor from a major merchant like Cloudtail!Update 16th of June: Amazon sent an email saying they will pick up the defective fan BY 16th of June. No one has called as yet, and no notification of pickup scheduled. I am disappointed by Amazon’s customer service. I don’t even think this is an issue of the seller. This is clearly Amazon at fault!===========================Item was defective - On installation, fan did not pick up speed. On checking, figured out that winding had shorted . Requested replacement immediately on Amazon (with pickup of original item on same day of replacement delivery). Replacement fan ordered was cancelled by Amazon - even while the status of the same showed as "Out for Delivery". Reason was "replacement item did not meet Amazon specifications". How can an item which is "Out for delivery", suddenly not "meet amazon specifications"?? Now Amazon has issued a refund order at their end - however, they have stated they will initiate the refund only once they have picked up the original item, received the same at their end and assured themselves that it is received in good condition!!!!!

Anyone of us purchases a fan for getting forced air. Seems it is not so.Recently purchased this product and realised that there was no breeze coming. I placed a complaint and their engineer promptly visited.Was shocking to hear from their engineer that this product is low priced and will not be able to generate the breeze. Why ever design and sell such a product. This is amounting to cheating.No one should buy their products.

Bawasir hai ye! The day we bought it, we are facing issues with this Kabad.1) From day 1 it was running slow2) After few days it stopped working, we called customer care, they said they'll come and repair. They took 3 days to visit and repair.3) After few days it stopped working again, the return period was over by that time. I tried to make complaint regarding guarantee against it, they said they can't return it but try to fix the problem. They did it.4) After few days it stopped working again, we solved the problem by spending money with local electrician.5) It was working pathetic after few months, we gave up this time. Bought a new fan and discarded it.

Purchased on 10 May 2025, fan stopped working, electrician said will need to do rewinding. Never purchase this variant.

I bought two of this fans by reading the reviews and also previous fans was of same company Orient but this time both of them are making noise while spinning I've called customer service two times now they come but they don't even know why they are making noise they change barring and stuff and again after 2-3 days fans start to make noise and it is very irritating and on top of that the fans aren't even 1 month old so any body reading this review do not buy this fans

I ordered this fan as my previous fan was making noices.. This fan was working fine for two months then started making high pitch noises which became so frequent that you cannot sleep or wake up even if you are asleep.. Again It was working fine for a month and then bang, the noices started again. I called an electrician and he told that its coming from machine and needs to be repaired.. I paid him almost half the cost of the fan and again the same irritating noice after couple of months.. Never had such a bad experience with a fan.. Thank you amazon for giving me such a low quality fan.. thank you very much

Hardly do you see the fans having any issues, but this fan is not running in full speed after 6 months of buying. WHAT WAS EVEN WORSE WAS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE, it says that it has warranty but no one will come to your house for the repair. AVOID SUCH PRODUCT
