My toddler is obsessed with this! It’s one of the toys that he can play by himself which is rare in our household. Great quality, easy to use. They have one with the dinosaurs, and I think I’ll get that one for Christmas.

I have bought several versions of this toy as they make such great presents. Kids always love them.

Janod Magneti Books are a favourite in our house! They are great for play and learning with small children. They are well made. We also like to take ours when we travel in the car or on planes as they are fab for entertainment.

I bought this for my great-neice's 4th birthday. I got the dinosaur one as she loves dinosaurs. We thought it was a game or a story board thing and were a little surprised when we opened the box that it's only magnetic pieces (we didn't see the cards at first), but we launched into it with her assembling the dinosaur on the board according to what's on the card. Effectively it's a simple magnetic jigsaw - each dinosaur comprises 4 pieces: a head, front body and legs, rear body and legs, and a tail. In that first play session she could quite happily search through the pieces until she found a part with the right colour and pattern on it, but she struggled with the concept of leaving a space for the missing pieces on the board (e.g. she would butt the head against the rear legs if the front legs were missing). She also struggled a little with aligning the pieces but we all enjoyed the game. The next day she asked to play with the dinosaurs again. Clearly something had been processed in her head overnight because this time, right from the start of the play session she was leaving gaps for missing pieces and her dexterity with alignment was amazing. She then realised that all the pieces are made to fit together so you could put any head on any front legs with any back legs and any tail and she spent some time making new dinosaurs which we gave funny 'saurus names to, culminating in the giant 10 legged, 2 tailed fearsome Multilegosaurus Rex! Not only is this entertaining in its own right for her, it has prepared her well for 'proper' jigsaws as she has learned all the concepts necessary.

These aren't the cheapest but they are worth every penny. Our son had the space one and it's been used so much we bought this for our daughter. Provides hours of use. Great quality. Will definitely consider buying another theme in the future

These are so great! They are really good quality, with thick, sturdy, colorful magnets. We got the animal one and the random shapes one for our 2.5 and 4 year olds, and they are amazing. The perfect toy to bring to the doctors office, church, or anywhere the kids need to sit quietly for a while. Our 4 year old finds the animal one extremely easy, so she rarely does that one (although it is well suited for the 2.5 year old). It took the 4 year old a few weeks to figure out the random shapes one (I had to help scaffold how to find the right pieces and place them in the right arrangement), but once she got the hang of it, she's become very creative with it, and it keeps her focused for a long time.My only complaint is that the container that holds the magnets in the base is a weird fit, and pieces are always slipping under the lip or into the sides. This never makes the pieces fall out or get lost, just difficult to get out, especially for a toddler, which is annoying. But that's minor compared to all the pros of these magnet books!

Fun activity, daughter enjoys all the different animals. Great matching and motor skills practice. Magnets are strong but perfect for little ones. Nice size to be able to pack for outings.

J’avais déjà acheté un Magneti’book de Janod sur le thème des métiers pour ma fille et je trouvais déjà le concept vraiment génial. Du coup, j’ai pris cette version animaux pour mon fils de 2 ans qui adore les animaux, et c’est un vrai succès 😊Le jeu est ludique, facile à manipuler pour un jeune enfant et permet de stimuler l’imagination tout en s’amusant. Les pièces aimantées tiennent bien et le format est pratique à transporter.Très bonne qualité, comme souvent avec Janod. Je recommande sans hésiter 👍
