Black vs Dark blue pieces hard to identify
I would recommend this set, but the directions make distinguishing the black piece from the dark blue pieces hard. Plenty of extra pieces are sent in each color. Parts are also smaller than Lego pieces.

Beautiful set!
The media could not be loaded. I really enjoyed this build. These blocks are smaller than Lego but not as small as miniature sets. The colors are vibrant and consistent, and the quality of the blocks is high. The directions are easy to follow. The only issue with them was that it did not differentiate between navy and black pieces. I reached out to the seller and they got right back to me: you don’t actually need to use the black blocks. That made for a lot of left over pieces. I’ll hang on the them for extras for the next build. I’m going to display this in my office.

Kind of odd to have so many spare pieces after 1 “section”
So first I would like to comment on there being dark navy and black pieces. Both have similar pieces and the instructions don’t specify if you’re using either (both are shown in a sort of very close to black end of blue). I haven’t used any black yet but even in the first bag there’s both. Maybe it’s a case of preference? I’ve never experienced having like 50 spare pieces after a bag…I usually expect maybe 20-100 spares at the end of a set depending on size of model and how many tiny pieces there are that may be lost. It’s definitely not Lego quality as some things you sort of force together like the flat boards making the base needs to kind of be pulled together to put the last parts for bag 1. Additionally the bags aren’t simple “1,2,3,etc..” it’s like “193.23.1.1, 193.23.1.2, 193.23.2.1, etc” so you kind of need to spend more time sorting them just to get the right bags out and open. Plastic seems fine but I’m just gonna say this is an “eh..ok 3 star” set. If I finish it I’ll update depending on look and everything but I may just go back to working on my LEGO sets
