It is missing some key features all emergency items like this should include. First, it is very small and would be very hard to find if you were in a car sinking or under water, perhaps even upside down. Because of its cylindrical and smooth exterior, even if you could find it, it would be very easy to drop and, because it is metal, it has no buoyancy and would sink quickly and would be nearly impossible to find again because it is dark grey. It is also missing a cutter to cut your seatbelt if you are hanging upside down. In that circumstance, your seatbelt likely would not release. These types of devices need to be made of something that will make them float. They should also be a bright color, preferably even glow in the dark material and, a cutter is just as important as the glass break mechanism. As much as I like the feel of this item, I cannot recommend it.
