Good Product. I had a few problems for uploading ...
Good Product . I had a few problems for uploading my program onto it for the first time .. but then google helps . If anyone else is having a problem a problem then the GPIO pin has to be made ground then reset then release them to enter flashing mode . And through the pins are 5 V tolerant they are meant to work with 3.3 V ,so use them at 5 V at your own risk . And the problem which i face often . Power Issue . The Module draws a lot of current , that why best is to use external source (with common ground very important) .

Working well
It is very good product . If the product delivered with out any damage , it will beacuse packaging is very good. And it worked well with Arduino. You can buy bro ( who is reading my review ).

It works like a charm
It works like a charm. It is known to be finicky about small voltage changes especially with the ch_pd that needs to be pulled up to 3.3V and maintaining a steady .7 amps current otherwise it resets or powers down. I know to get around it. A fine product considering it's only a couple of hundred bucks.

Good, but out dated
Good, but out dated. Buy the latest. Need to buy additional UART to serial converter for this module. Works completely same like latest with the converter.

Excellent
This is an ESP-01 module, running an ESP8266. Can't believe how cheap this is. If you don't need serial, you can use 4 GPIOs. Range is good. The ESP8266 is powerful, and this module has plenty of RAM and ROM. Community support is really good. It comes with the AT firmware, which I promptly replaced with the community Arduino version. Programming this thing is easy, and it can work either stand-alone or with an Arduino. Just remember to use a separate 3.3v power supply and a voltage divider/level shifter if using with 5v boards.

knowledge passed on from one noob to another . good luck
actually i wanted to give five stars for the product , but since it was delayed for quite a lot of days im giving it four stars . before getting this wifi module make sure you have the following things (you know , so that you life is not a living hell!!!!!!!): 1) lm1117 3.3 v regulator 5 Pcs AMS1117 - 3.3V, 1A, Voltage Regulator SOT-223 : since the esp8266 runs on 3.3 v and the 3.3 v arduino line cant supply enough amps . 2) one 460 ohms and one 220 ohms resistor (or basical any resistors in 1:2 ration eg 1k and 2k 10k and 20 k etc ) 800 Pcs 40 Values Assorted Mixed Carbon film Resistors lot 5% 0.25W Resistor kit (meh!! works ... ) 3)tons of jumper wires male , male to female (from the serial converter to the esp8266), and female to female etc . Jumper Wire - 20 Male to Male + 20 Female to Female + 20 Male to Female 4)male and female berg strips and General Purpose Printed Circuit Board . since the esp8266 is not breadboard friendly you will have to make a breadboard adapter COMPONENT7-General Purpose Printed Circuit Board-3 Pc + Female Berg strip-3Pc+ Male Berg strip-3Pc 5) usb to serial converter , this should have probably been on top of the list .i have have brought a lot of this devices all different types but the one that works for me is CH340G CH340 Serial Converter USB 2.0 To TTL 6PIN Module for PRO mini

Nice device. However
Nice device. However, it will need to be operated from external 3.3 V Power Supply. For programming, FT232RL is to be used. I was able to run a web server and switch on/off LED wirelesly using arest.io library. Good choice for wireless control. However, the Flash size is not clear.

Works Fine
Works fine, ping, WiFi, AT commands everything working. but since it require 3.3volt supply, you will have to either use readymade adaptor which plugs in your PC's USB port or you need to use Arduino and use its 3.3v pin which becomes a little complicated for first time users, circuit diagram for using arduino is available at website teomaragakis. this board is using a old fireware that also needs to be updated.
