Great Ionic Dryer but comes with 16 A 2 Pin Plug!
Few things to be kept in mind: 1. Does not fold, so less travel friendly compared to other dryers. 2. Comes with a 2 Pin 16 A plug, since most 16 A plugs come with a safety shutter which can only be opened by the earthing pin of a 3 Pin 16 A plug, you simply can't insert this plug into any of your existing 16 A plugs else you might end up breaking it. To fix this, you need to buy a 16 A to 16 A adapter costing less than INR 200 (recommended) or a 6 A to 16 A adapter (should be a temporary fix, make sure that it can safely draw at least 2000 W of power, switch to 16 A to 16 A adapter ASAP by installing a dedicated 16 A socket where it's convenient for you), then you can use your dryer without any issues. 3. Why it doesn't come with a 3 Pin plug instead, it's because the wattage isn't high enough to require an earthing Pin, although Philips should have given one anyways as one would avoid the hassle of buying yet another adapter after spending on this. 4. Why does it come with 16 A plug, is it a Philips only thing? Initially I thought the same but this is a result of a recent BIS regulation (IS 1293, enforced from 1 June 2022), which directs all high power compliances that are drawing almost 6 A to upgrade to 16 A. Now, assuming the standard voltage is 230 V, multiplying by 6 A we get 1380 W, so appliances above this have to ship with 16 A plug (you might see slightly lower wattage ones also ship with 16 A plug as minor voltage drop will spike the current draw). Since it's a 1600 W dryer, it has to come with 16 A plug. Enough with all the technical jargon, let's get to the product: 1. It has a slider with 3 states (Off/Speed 1/Speed 2) and a circular button with a thermometer sign on it. 2. When the thermometer button is not engaged, the dryer is in cool shot mode by default. When you engage it, it throws hot air. It's not a push and hold button. 3. The attachment is for styling your hair, plenty of YT tutorials on the same. For general purpose drying, use it without attachment for faster drying. 4. Use hot air mode from 1 to 1.5 feet distance to dry your hair up to 80%, then engage cool shot mode to lock up the moisture in your hair.

Economical Yet Good Quality Hair Dryer by Philips | Review | Details of cool air mode below
I was in search of a good hairdryer in 1k range and without any doubt, I settled upon the Philips brand. It was just a matter of selection among available models. The product came in its box but without any seal. So was a bit skeptical about inbox contents, until i unboxed it. Everything was well in shape and nothing's missing. Also, there were no marks of seal removal so that's the way it leaves the manufacturing facility. Choosing this particular model was even a matter of personal taste as it was meant for a female member of the family. So this pink themed model with a foldable handle for easy storage in compact locations. ••••••••• INBOX ••••••••• 1. Dryer 2. Nozzle 3. Info Leaflets 4. User Manual Cord length: 1.5 m approx Warranty: 2 Years ••••••• PROS ••••••• 1. Lightweight, solid & ergonomic design. Theme of 2. Effective hairdryer working at 1200 watt to provide sufficient heat. 3. Three drying modes, cool air, thermo protect, & high power. 3. Cold air option available (more below) 5. Thermo protect mode for regulated heat which auto cuts heating element beyond set temperature to prevent hair damage due to excessive heat. Air continues to blow and heating elements switch on again after some time. 6. Foldable handle for easy, compact storage and carrying. 7. Nozzle concentrator works well to direct pressure of air on hairs. 8. Storage hook or hanging hook provided. •••••••• CONS •••••••• 1. Cool air mode blows out warm air at relatively less flow rate instead of cold air at a full flow rate. ••••••••••••••••••••••••• SETTINGS & USAGE ••••••••••••••••••••••••• 1. Cool air: Warm air at a low airflow rate -Preferrable in hot summer season or if you have extra spare time for hair dying. 2. Thermo protect (recommended mode): Warm air at high flow rate with auto cut off of heating element at a set temperature to prevent hair damage due to excessive heat. -All-round mode for gentle yet fast-drying without major damage to hairs. 3. High power mode: Hot air at a high flow rate where the heating element has no temperature cut off. So works at full power. -Be careful with this mode as air is really hot and if not careful, can easily damage hairs. Use it only when you are in a hurry & be careful. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• COOL AIR MODE CONFUSION (Philips Fault) •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Many people buying this model get confused with cool air mode advertised by Philips. To be honest, it's easy to get confused as per wordings used. That's a fault at the company's side. Nowhere they mention the actual working of this mode. Any person reading product details as "cool airflow" will expect the room temperature air at a high airflow rate which is not the case. Rather its warm air only from setting 2 (TP mode) at very low airflow rate, which kind of ruins the whole purpose. So don't have heavy expectations of using this setting to get a good pressurized flow of air at room temperature. Women will be disappointed with this mode due to hair volume being on the higher side. Men may use this mode to dry out a low volume of hairs. •••••••••••••••••••• FINAL VERDICT •••••••••••••••••••• This model of Philips hairdryer is a good buy at the price point for the power you get with a foldable handle. ▶ If you are seeking a higher power hairdryer with a foldable handle, go get this one. Just don't get this model for "cool airflow" setting which is kind of misleading and will be useless for the majority of women. Yes, it may work ok for men. ▶ If the foldable handle is not your priority, then get Philips HP 8100/60 or 46 to save some bucks. Its a 1000 watt model without foldable handle and cool airflow mode. Price Rs 800 approx. ▶ If furthermore power is required, there's Philips BHD007/20 with 1800 watts in. Rest features are the same, with the same misleading cool airflow mode and ionic conditioning which discharges -ve ions to eliminate statics & condition hairs. Price Rs 1900 approx. ▶ I won't recommend going further and investing more money in a hairdryer unless you have money to waste or you are professional. The models discussed above are more than sufficient. Based on past experiences i recommend Philips for a range of products as their quality rarely disappoints and their product is long-lasting. You can get cheaper products with similar specs but those are hit and miss kind of.

OKish
It's OK OK not that effective. For more speed we mode but that's too hot. It would be really good if there's any product that blows room temperature air with high speed.
