I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
I bought a Roku Ultra for my projector to watch movies via my Plex media server. It's great! Only 1 problem. I also want my Roku Ultra to work on my TV. This product solved the issue, i connected my projector and my TV to this HDMI splitter and now i can watch my Roku Ultra on BOTH the projector and the TV. YES I can watch the Roku Ultra on BOTH the projector and the TV at the same time but i did this so i could easily switch between the two without having to disconnect / connect hdmi cables or buy a 2nd roku. ____________ Using this HDMI Splitter with a PC + TV I tried to use a 2nd one of these HDMI splitters for my desktop PC thinking maybe i could split the signal out from my PC to 1 PC monitor and my TV but NOPE that won't for my situation which is that i have a GTX 1070 graphics card which has 3 Display ports and 1 HDMI port, my one HDMI port is being used by my VR headset. Display port is a better port to use for a PC monitor. ALSO, they DO NOT make a HDMI to Display port adapter that sends video BOTH ways. Video only goes in 1 direction., Video goes from HDMI TO DP....It won't go from DP to HDMI. So you're out of luck if you try to do that to hook up to this HDMI adapter. You won't be able to connect your DP port on your graphics card into the HDMI port of this HDMI splitter to get video out. HOWEVER, i think i saw a similar video splitter product on amazon but it has DP ports on it. BUT it's a lot more expensive. Not sure if that would work but worth a try if that's what you want to do. ______________ NEW product HDMI splitter model idea: New device that has: Display port IN (Desktop PC) Display port OUT (PC monitor), HDMI OUT (TV) THIS IS WHAT A PC GAMER WOULD WANT! Play PC games on their TV. YES it can be done with a simple HDMI cable and windows settings (Clone your main monitor via windows desktop settings) But i think it would work even better with a physical splitting device. ______________ BONUS TIP: HDMI splitter + HDMI hub work great together. I bought a 5 port HDMI port hub to connect more devices to my TV. I connected this HDMI splitter to the HDMI port hub. Now ALL HDMI devices that connect to the HDMI hub will split the video OUT to BOTH my TV and my projector. ______________ IN CONCLUSION: I highly recommend this product. It works great to split a HDMI video port. The quality looks good on a large 4K TV. It works perfectly.

Great little device and great customer support
Worked well out of the box. However my complicated setup required a lot of trial and error to get working. The issue was not with the splitter but more with the output device settings. Output 1 goes to TV but through an AVR home theater device while output 2 went to a scaler then a capture device then my computer. So, I had to adjust settings on the scaler device to allow my capture device to receive the full 5.1 audio signal. Once that was solved everything was perfect. I got full 5.1 audio and 720p or 1080i video to both output destinations. The splitter is set to Auto and I used good quality high speed 1.4 HDMI cables. The red led on the splitter is a little bright but if it matters then you can hide it behind devices to block the light or put some electrical tape to cover it. I tried a different splitter by another manufacturer and it did not perform in my same setup so very happy that I found this one and got it to work in the end. Customer Service was excellent and reached out to me when I asked for a refund. They gave helpful suggestions which in the end gave me an idea to try that worked. So, I kept the device and did not need the refund. I may even get a second one as a spare/backup

How to get 4K HDR while splitting
I bought this along with one of the various $15 USB 2.0 capture cards (also on Amazon) as a video capture solution for my PS4. The capture card works fine as advertised, but this review is for the splitter, which is not fine. The instruction manual is exactly what you see on the Amazon listing, which is not very clear on how to use this device. A problem that a lot of people are running into is the inability to output 4K60 HDR, as advertised. In my case, the splitter would indeed output 4K60 HDR from my PS4 Pro to my TV (LG CX), BUT only under certain circumstances. This can be verified on the LG CX by rapidly pressing the green button on the remote many times to bring up the "FreeSync Information" display. After some time of troubleshooting, I found the only way to reliably get a 4K60 HDR signal out to the TV is turn on every device in this order: 1. The primary display that can display the 4K60 HDR content so that you can see what you're doing. 2. The source. Make sure the HDR content is currently being displayed. 3. The secondary display/capture card It is VERY important that you get the source to display HDR before connecting the second display. In this case, I would turn the TV on, then the PS4 and made sure I was currently displaying the HDR content, and finally plug the capture card into the computer. I have not tried with two TVs since I don't have two TVs, but I would assume you would either have to turn the second display on last or completely unplug that display until the other two steps are complete. And if both of your displays are 4K60 HDR, leave a review to confirm if it works. Of course, this splitter only has HDMI 2.0, which means any device from 2020 and later that uses HDMI 2.1 will be limited to 4K60 HDR. UPDATE: The seller reached out to me in regards to the product. While I couldn't get the product to perform as I want, the customer service was pretty awesome.

Sound cuts out
I got a projector for Christmas, so rather than unplugging and plugging in different HDMI cables depending on if I want to watch the TV or the projector I decided a splitter was a convenient solution. I got this one after reading other reviews thinking it might work out. I was wrong. The setup was easy. It's hard to make a mistake. I got it to send a signal to the projector and it all seemed fine. One output went there and the other went to the stereo->TV. HDMI is designed to carry high end digital sound as well as video. It had been working fine without the splitter. However, anytime I did anything (start a movie, pause a movie, change a streaming source), the sound would cut out. I'd have to "reboot" the splitter/stereo combo, then it would work fine until the next change. When it finally cut out while I was in the middle of watching a program, I finally gave up and just unplugged it. Complete waste of my money. Since I am not trying to watch on two devices at the same time, perhaps I should be shopping for some sort of HDMI switch instead. I was really just trying to keep it simple for my family, but "not working" is not simple.

Some older TVs act weird with this splitter and aren't fully compatible.
It took me a while to figure out what was going on or why my computer screen color and settings kept changing each time I start the computer with this switcher. Here's how I have it set up. I have the hdmi coming out of my computer graphics card going into the single input on the splitter. I then have 1 hdmi cable coming out of output 1 going to my older 1080p desktop 55" TV screen. The other hdmi cable is coming out of output 2 and goes to my brand new 70" 4k TV in the other room. I have the setting on the splitter set to "copy". Tried "auto" and "mixed" and it doesn't fix my issue which I think is more within the TV, not the splitter. Here's where the problem is. When the computer and both TVs are turned off, I look at the little splitter box and the light for output 2 going to my new 70" 4k TV stays lit all of the time. However, my older 1080p 55" in output 1, the light goes off when the TV is off. This creates the problem. So if I turn on my computer first with both TV's off, the computer recognizes that the 70" 4k TV is connected with the light always on, so then a few seconds later when I turn on my older 55" TV, the light in output 1 turns on, but its too late, the computer has now reverted to a new color theme and display setting making everything washes out from the 70" 4k TV. To fix this, when both TVs are off and the computer is off, I have to first turn on my older 55" TV so that the splitter recognizes the 55" TV display in output 1, then I can turn on the computer. The computer now sees the 55" TV in output 1 first and recognizes the display color and settings of the 55" TV that are saved which are the correct and accurate settings. This is weird, but I guess I will always just need to turn on my desktop 55" older TV first before I turn on the computer to get it to be recognized by the splitter. Why does my older 55" 1080p TV do this with this splitter? Its as if when the older 55" TV is turned off is loses all power and signal to the splitter, but with my new 70" 4k TV, it seems to always stay connected to the splitter and always stays recognized. See pic. output 2 with blue HDMI cable is the 70" 4k TV with light always lit. Both TVs are off and computer is off, but light in output 2 stays lit for some reason and in output 1 light goes off.

Good picture quality, horrible audio quality. EDIT: Great customer service
The product works great for part of what I bought it for. I bought it to be able to use my switch on my monitor as well as use my capture card at the same time. The picture quality is great, but the audio keeps cutting in and out no matter if I have the audio slider on "mixed" or "copy. I was excited for this, but I might end up returning it because the audio situation is making it basically unusable for me. UPDATE 5/22/2020: Customer service has been in contact with me since I left my initial review to try help with troubleshooting the product. I unfortunately still keep having the issues that I initially had, but I am marking it up to unfortunate malfunction that is bound to happen every now and then. After trying multiple things to try fixing my audio issues, customer service offered to give me a refund. I am changing my rating from two stars to four stars for all the effort that their customer service put in to try helping. They were very responsive and did their best to help me.

Great product and great customer service!!
SO I purchased this to split my PS4 (now PS5) signal between the 4K TV and my ElGato HD60S+ capture card. The great thing with this card is it can run dual resolutions so I don't have to sacrifice the 4K quality of the TV to match up with the 1080p max of the capture card. I had some hiccups in getting this to work on the PS5 (was forcing me out of HDR @4K) and Customer Service was very helpful and committed to getting it resolved. There are a few switch options on the device itself and I'd suggest taking some time to understand each setting and which fits your purposes best Overall great product!

Does exactly what it claims to do
I needed a high quality splitter to distribute the signal from a 4K apple TV to my older Anthem surround amp (MRX 710) and my newer Samsung TV. I still really like the sound quality of the Anthem and it is functionally new but it only has HDMI 1.4 and was not able to passthrough 4k 60hz HDR. The best it can manage is 4k 30hz SDR which meant I wasn't taking full advantage of the Apple TVs output and Samsung television. Even at 4k 30Hz SDR some streaming channels resulted in a green screen despite using high quality cables further suggesting that the Anthem was too stretched. The Avedio splitter neatly solved the problem. I now have the sound I was used to with the best possible picture quality.

Working as expected
We had to replace an old splitter because it did not support HDCP2.2, resulting in video and audio issues from our Fetch device to 2 video outputs. This new splitter is doing the job so far.

Reasonable value
This device is compact and seems to be made with good quality materials. The capabilities aren’t amazing, but if they suit your needs then it functions perfectly well and seems decent value. As others have pointed out, make sure to read through the specs properly to understand what you’re getting. 4k@60hz is indeed possible when using a single output, but if you intend to use both outputs (as one would surely expect given the device is a dual splitter) each output is only capable of 4k@30hz. There are also some limitations on supporting multiple outputs when connected to certain inputs such as M1 and M2 based devices. As I say, just be sure to fully read the description and make sure it’s capable of doing what you require. For the intended use, it’s quick and simple, essentially plug-and-play (after selecting output setting). It’s small so very portable and great if you need to hook your phone up to an older screen, for example. The listing is clear enough as to it’s intended purpose, so for that I believe £15 is fine. If you require higher specifications than that though, I would look at devices offering improved capabilities.
