Review: Happy - Great little shredder. So quiet the crunching of paper is louder than the motor, which is a vast improvement to my last shredder that made me concerned about using it at night. It's more expensive than others but what made it worth it was - 12 sheet shredding (my old one was 15 sheet but whined at about 5. This one crunches merrily away at 12), 60 min runtime!! (great for end of the year shredding), removable bin with window so you can see when it needs to be emptied and don't have to vacuum up all the bits from turning it upside down like my old one. It also does a little extra whir at the end so it doesn't collect cuttings bunches in the blades. The casters are a nice touch. Worth paying a little more for this good shredder.

A: After reverse and forward a few times. If it still stuck I pull paper out with a pliers while it’s reversing.

**Q: How about this shredder?**
A: This shredder will handle light or occasional usage but in my opinion if you shred 15-20 pages a day every day, you may want to look elsewhere. Paper bits tend to stick to the cutter area, pack that area, and quickly jam the machine. Reversing the motor (REV switch) will not clear the jams. You have to manually clean out the cutters with a ice pick or small screwdriver.

**Q: This thing will not stop running! how do i fix it? already cleaned. no jams.**
A: Ours is doing the same thing.  We turn it off when not in use.

Great little shredder. So quiet the crunching of paper is louder than the motor, which is a vast improvement to my last shredder that made me concerned about using it at night. It's more expensive than others but what made it worth it was - 12 sheet shredding (my old one was 15 sheet but whined at about 5. This one crunches merrily away at 12), 60 min runtime!! (great for end of the year shredding), removable bin with window so you can see when it needs to be emptied and don't have to vacuum up all the bits from turning it upside down like my old one. It also does a little extra whir at the end so it doesn't collect cuttings bunches in the blades. The casters are a nice touch. Worth paying a little more for this good shredder.

This is a really nice shredder. I have been using a heavy duty one that started to screech. Actually scarred the dogs. This one is great for a home office. Compared to the big one I had absconded from our closed office, this one is quiet, fast, and best of all east to empty. It all dumps into a tall kitchen trash bag. I really like it and it suits my shredding needs perfectly.
