I got this remote to control an old Yamaha RX-V595a receiver. The Amazon item description didn’t list my receiver as a compatible model, but I figured I’d give this remote a shot since it has many of the same features as the original remote for my receiver. I was primarily hoping for a way to control the volume from the couch, and this remote does that, so I’m happy! The power buttons don’t seem to be compatible with my receiver unfortunately, but the yellow buttons that select the input source are functioning correctly. The rest of the buttons don’t seem compatible, but again, that’s fine considering this isn’t the correct remote for my receiver. I can get up off my butt if I want to turn the receiver on/off 😆As you can see in the photo, this remote arrives with nothing but the plastic baggy it’s wrapped in. It would be nice to have some sort of instructions so I could program the buttons that are meant to control my tv.When the Amazon delivery driver dropped the pouch onto my stoop, I heard a loud plastic-cracking noise; the kind of sound you would expect to hear when a remote falls to the floor from several feet 🙄 Fortunately, the remote doesn’t seem to have been damaged, and as far as I can tell, it’s in working condition.

This is a great replacement or extra remote control for your yamaha home theater. The buttons are a very satisfying to press. It has all the functions I would need on the remote so that I don’t have to physically use the device to change things. Great color scheme to match the existing OEM remote.
