Quality lathe with precision control
This lathe is a tremendous product. It offers precision motor control allowing the most precision work for the most delicate and intricate creation. It's quite a small lathe, so not one you would use for making staircase spindles, but ideal for making precision items for doll houses etc. I wish I had one of these when I was helping my son with his GCSE DT project. It would have proven to be very useful, however with most tools, you do need to wear safety equipment such as goggles and gloves to prevent any harm. I'm still a newbie on this, but since I always wanted one, I've got plenty of ideas on where I can use this to create some nice crafts. This is very versatile in with having plenty of adjustments available to get finite quality materials produced.

Good for desktop projects.
I’m very pleased with this lathe. I bought it to help with desktop 3D printed projects and have used it from the box to turn down some brass motor couplers. It seems well built and is good for small jobs. I would recommend swapping out the cross head bolts supplied for hex socket cap heads though. Only 4 stars as it didn’t come with bolts for the base.

OK but not great.
Kind of cute, but very light duties only, e.g. plastic or wood. Struggles with aluminium.
