In Bluetooth transmission, the audio is constrained by quality and latency (delay between Audio and video etc). It addresses the first one with aptx and the second one with aptx low latency audio. Universal codec for Bluetooth is SBC, which is generally not a lossless audio ( but some with extended data rate , the quality loss may be minimum or unnoticeable) whereas aptx is of cd quality. In case of latency, ~240 Millisecond for SBC, for aptx it is 170 Millisecond and aptx low latency is having <40 Millisecond, whereas the human detection starts from 100 Millisecond. It has aptx both in Receiving (RX) and Transmission ( TX ) modes (where as many others in the market may not have either in RX orTX mode ) Most innovative feature is that it indicates which codec it is being used ( finding whether aptx is in use or not appears to be specialised procedure) It has long range , easily we can use in another room. It does not have built in Battery which may be rarely required or convenient ( like for connecting Bluetooth capable car stereo or with pocket music player to Bluetooth headphone ) I use it as a retrofit between my aging onkyo amp and other BT devices like cell phone(phone aptx BT to aptx oasis optical digital out ( TOSLINK optical out to TOSLINK optical digital in of onkyo) For its optimal use , phone or input device (Source) is to be capable of blutooth "aptx" , similarly bluetooth headphone (Receiving device) should also have "aptx" to get cd quality audio from source Similarly headphone should have "aptx low latency" to get lip sync audio from TV or Settop box. (as I am not having any "Aptx low latency" capable bluetooth headphone , I could not check lip sync latency . Further I have not checked the quality of analogue signal in or out). 1) It does not have aptxHD capability. 2) It does not have RCA type SPDIF (it has only TOSLINK optical SPDIF like many others in the category) Overall great product atleast as a retrofit for old devices.

Works with Tata Sky HD+ Transfer box on SPDIF and Sony WH-1000XM2 wireless bluetooth headset as long as output is set to PCM. Range is also quite good.

It is a bit pricey. I think it is worth your penny because the connection is reliable and I didn't have any issue as of now (its been 5months+ I have purchased this)

Very bad sound quality because of transmission issues I believe. Not worth any money!

It makes the problem for Spdif, otherwise transmission good, it should be more user-friendly, I do not suggest to buy, please buy the alternate product, the price is too high as compared to the product.
