ONE of the BEST Activity trackers in this Budget !!
ONE of the BEST Activity trackers in this Budget (1.5-3k Rupees) !!Let us start with what it has to offer.1) Time and Date.2) Steps counter.3) Heart Rate (NOT an ACTIVE Heart rate monitor).4) Distance measured - Of how many steps you have taken.5) Calorie meter - No. of burned calories.6) Sleep Tracker (Deep/Light Sleep separately).7) Alarm & Idle Alerts - It VIBRATES only, NO SOUND.8) Battery Status.9) Only icons for incoming notifications (messages, email, calls).10)Light Weight - 7 grams only.11) Bluetooth Enabled - to connect your smartphone. In the BOX & REVIEW =========================================================(Pictures Attached)1) Wrist Strap - It has flexible rubbery material which is unbelievably comfortable. I was worried before buying that whether i would be able to wear it for 24x7. Now I am not...you might have to get it off to clean the water which gets inside but that is just a personal choice. Locking Mechanism is quite SAFE too, but IMO rubber strap does make it a little bit difficult to lock it initially, after sometime you'll get used to it. Strap Length - 235mm (23.5cms). Snap On Material is Aluminium Alloy.2) Device/Sensor - The main device which you can easily insert into the rubber strap or take out from is WATER Resistant IP67 device, Dust resistant and you can wash hands with it on, spill, rains, exercise sessions - NO worries there. OLED Screen - OKAY visibility in sunlight, GREAT indoors. NOT a touch screen instead it has a capacitive touch button to just swipe through the features. Heart Sensor (in the device itself) - Well it is NOT an active heart rate monitor, meaning- you'll have to choose the option every time you wish to check your heart rate. Accuracy of the heart rate sensor depends on how still you keep your hand while taking the reading and if the band is firmly strapped on your wrist(Not loose). STEP Counter - Well, it is quite accurate, I even have manually counted my steps just to check it gives you (+/-) 2-4%. Sleep Tracker - The fall asleep time and wake up time is IMPECCABLE just perfect. Tells you DEEP/Light sleep too.3) Charger cable - It is a 5 inch cable (Normal USB type) & can be used with your general phone charger OR you can charge it with your Laptop's USB port too. Charging Time - 1 to 1 n Half hrs (can go up to 2hrs for the first time, depends on the charger). Battery/Backup Time - It has 70 mah battery (Li-Po) which gives you 15-20 DAYS depending upon the usage.4) User Guide - Its in English and Chinese. Do guide you to the basic installation of device into strap. But NO Support on HOW to connect it with your SMARTPHONE via MI Fit App.DO Register yourself on MI official site and only then you can connect it via bluetooth to the MI Fit Appto start the functioning of the band. You might get the update too (i did).I faced a problem registering myself through the mobile app but it worked smoothly via Laptop.(1 Star less is for MI Fit App. It is a little bit bland in design, just your basic things with its own glitches but it works so NOT a deal breaker.) ============================================================================= """NOT for the fitness freaks who want active heart tracking, cycling, stairs count etc you should be looking into FITBIT, GARMIN etc."""!!! TOTALLY RECOMMENDED !!! for the average person who just want to track basic activities in this price point.(Especially for step and sleep tracking)

Did its Job.
I was going through my past orders on Amazon and this one popped up after a few minutes of scrolling. I hadn't written a review back then when I bought it but I thought to write one now though.I bought this band in October 2016 from Amazon. I had been putting on the pounds and I thought this would be a good way to keep track of my workouts and also shed some of those accumulated pounds in the process. And the Band 2 sure did help.Having a detailed description of your workouts be it running or walking and showing ones metrics such as the heart rate, the strides, the calories burnt etc were a few metrics which had became a fun activity to go through after the end of each session and comparing it with the previous one, seeing how different/same it was. In addition to this, the fantastic battery life which the MiBands continue to offer to this very day with their newer iterations have always been something I loved. Charging it once and forgetting about it for the next 21-24 days is something one can hardly do with other fitness bands/smart watches even in 2022.And being a fitness tracker, it did help me considerably in losing weight as I got into habit of working out regularly soon after. While I shed close to 10 kgs of weight over a period of 6 months, I'd use it throughout the day, while working out and also using it as a usual digital wrist watch while at work.Although I wish it lasted longer, but I've no qualms about it becoming less functional after a period of 3 years of very extensive usage. The only issue being its display which started to dim at a considerable pace after 2.5 years. It had dimmed to the point that the display was just discernable in the dark but even artificial indoor lighting would make it impossible to see what's on the screen. While all the other things continued to work flawlessly. The MiFit App( Now Zepp Life) would still capture your workout data and the battery would continue to last for 3 weeks on a full charge like it did when it was new despite the issue with its display.I had to eventually stow it away in a corner of my cupboard where it lay, gathering dust as I bought the newest iteration of the band then, the Mi Band 4 in October 2019. Its been 3 years and this has been working even better than the Mi band 2 without any issues whatsoever. In the end I can just say that Mi Band 2 was a great product and it served it purpose perfectly well.
