An amazing purchase for a fountain pen
When looking for a budget fountain pen, this pen stands out as a top choice. Priced around ₹250, this pen offers excellent value with a fine, steel nib that is high-quality and durable. It has a good weight, and clean lines, making it a stylish yet affordable option for beginners. This pen comes with a converter for easy ink refills, allowing you to choose from a variety of ink colors. Overall, this pen is highly recommended for those starting out with fountain pens and looking for a reliable, smooth writing experience

It doesn't write but glides.
Loved the quick and efficient delivery. At under 300, I feel Gold Leaf 801 stainless steel fine nib is a good entry level pen before going for the big league. This is my second Jinhao product after x51. It doesn't write but glides! Stark contrast to the experience with Parker Vector GT which gives a scratchy feedback. I kind of have got used to it though! Tried out on multiple surfaces and satisfied with the results. Worked without any hitches. The grip section is kind of sandpaper finish which makes it easy to grip the pen. The weight is also just about right for me or may be tad heavy for those used to plastic body pen. Ink convertor is also of good quality. Have used Jinhao (brown) ink. A tad disappointed with the NIB. Thought it would be ultra sharp as it's 0.7 mm but really can't make out much difference from x51 which is a medium nib. Overall experience is satisfactory. Thank you Jinhao for the good product. 🙏

Smooth writing and real value for Money. Matches the Parkers and Montblancs
Having used this for the past few months, i only have very good or excellent words for this pen. Light weight (though i prefer heavy fountain pens) and the smoothness of writing enhances as you start using it. No nonsense pen and a real value for money. Recommend this pen for both beginners and the hardcore fountain pen users. Both would enjoy this equally. The ink flow is smooth and the pen still holds the flow if not used for say 5 days. Overall i am extremely satisfied with this pen. You can use both ink as well Jinhao cartridge re-fills for this.

Works as expected, unhappy after using it for a year.
My first impressive was that it looks like a copy of Parker Vector. Heavier than my Parker vector, but still well balanced. Nib is medium, not fine and has no scratchy feel to it. Doesn't bleed nor does the ink feathers on paper. Inflow is steady. Metal body but surprisingly not slippery. When writing with it, it feels like an old pen, like you have been writing with it for years. Slim pens are my style so I'm happy with the way it looks. I bought it for 226, which was the exact price I was willing to pay for this. Edit on Feb 18, 2021. After having this pen for a year, I'm disappointed. While the writing is smooth and everything, the black part that connects the nib to the pen's body and cracked at two places, and they leak ink. I haven't dropped the pen even once inthis whole year. It might not be an issue for someone who grips the pen at an inch or two away from the nib, but if you get any closer to the nib, the ink will stain ur fingers. I'm convinced that the pen I got was a fake. A good qlty fake.

Cheap, but not up to the mark,
The design is sleek and attractive. Has some weight but bearable. The flaw it has is, the ink flow is not smooth. I bought it as it was Amazon's choice but it turned out to be a wrong choice. The ball inside the refill tube to break the surface tension of ink was unable to do so. I had to tighten the pump every time a substantial amount of air space was created after some writing. If you are going to buy a fountain pen, buy good one. This is cheap and not up to the mark. EDIT: The ball inside the piston converter is non-metallic, thus not able to successfully break the surface tension of ink, hence bad flow. Parker Vector Stainless Steel GT has a metallic ball inside the converter, but it has medium nib, not fine like Baoer and has too much of a flow. Yet to find a fountain pen with fine smooth nib and apt flow, neither too much nor too less.

Short pen life even after taking care of it and using it regularly
This is such a waste. The pen feels and writes ok but what is the point of buying this if it can't be used after 4 or 5 times using it? First of all, the Penn's cap broke and I couldn't close it properly. That was my first disappointment. Second, this Penn's converter is useless. I used Parker Quink ink in this pen and I own 8 fountain pens, with various types of converters and cartridges, nibs etc. This one is the worst fountain pen I ever used in my life. I have a hero pen that I have been using for past 14 years which I bought for 50Rs at that time. This is such a disappointing buy. If you are looking for a cheap but good quality pen for regular writing, try camlin trinity or elegante. Don't waste your money on this one.

Good pen for minimal usage
Pros :- A good pen if you are not a regular user,Sleek design and easy to handle. Cons :- Ink flow is more so it take time for drying, tends to spread in the paper, the cap cannot be placed behind the pen,at least they could have given one additional Nib for a pen of this cost.
