Purchased as a gift but had a flick through first. For a book titled 'the world's ultimate races and trails', I was surprised to find that over half of the races are in the USA. Many of rest of the races are major city marathons. The first section, 'short races', of the 15 races described, 14 were in the US, the other in Canada. The only UK race was the London Marathon. The pictures are nice as you would expect from National Geographic. I also have the Lonely Planet Epic races book. I wish I had bought that as the gift instead.
