    Beautiful lamp if it’s not broken in box

The lamp is gorgeous.. the packaging is hideous, resulting in damaged merchandise inside the box. The marble base is securely enveloped in stryrfoam but the “neck” or post of the lamp isn’t, therefore the heavy weight of the marble is crushing the “post” where the lightbulb screws into. I have ordered 4 lamps, two of them are too damaged for use and have been returned. Even the lamps which weren’t destroyed are a bit bent but still functional. Trying to order one last time because the lamps are exactly what I wanted.There is a nightlight built into the marble  base which illuminates beautifully by itself or with the top light on, therefore giving you 3 options for lighting.. as it can be turned off too.Bottom line is the neckbase of the lamp should be secured so that the heavy marble base doesn’t crush it. There is no way a shipper.. from China.. is going to keep the box upright to avoid this.
