Kelaro Straight Washer Hose

Excellent hoses. Don’t waste money on other hoses.

I moved from my house into an apartment and replaced the existing rubber washing-machine hoses with these two. General practice seems to be to replace the hoses every 5 years, so I wrote the installation date on the tags. No problem with the installation, and they're working fine so far.

These appear to be really high quality hoses made of very durable materials and the hoses installed very easily. I put Plumbers tape on the threads of the faucet in preparation for mounting the hoses and the ends of the hoses went on effortlessly. One additional quarter turn after seating the ends tightly is what the instructions call for and I did just that. No leaks! These may cost more but they certainly seem worth the cost. I am very happy with this purchase!

(Item: Premium Stainless Steel Washing Machine Hoses, Color Coded in 6-Foot length / $25 per pair at the time of ordering) The red/blue coloring for hot/cold is a nice, simple touch. The connectors threaded fine on both the washer and the inlet valves. I hand-tightened them and was able to get them fairly tightly fitted. And then gave them a little more than a quarter tun with a pair of pliers. Ran a wash cycle and no leaks anywhere. Chose these over the Eastman brand because my inlet valves are recessed in the wall. So there’s not enough space in the opening to install the 90° elbow that many hoses come with. I also needed a 6-foot length as the 4-foot ones that came with the washer were just short of my inlet valves. As far as build quality, they seem comparable to other major vendors. The hoses and connectors were robust. First time I’m trying this brand so, I’ll update with any issues. I know I’m supposed to change these hoses out every 5 years or so. But hoping (like many other brands I’ve used in the past) that these last much longer. They were also competitively priced so, that was a plus. This is a good product and an easy recommendation for consideration.

This is my review for Premium Stainless Steel Washing Machine Hoses - Burst Proof (2 Pack) Red and Blue Striped Water Connection Inlet Supply Lines from Kelaro. These hoses are LEAD FREE AB 1953 Safe for drinking water, UPC (Uniform Plumbing Code), NSF 61 (National Sanitation Foundation) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Certifications. That means that they are the highest quality and are tested by independent laboratories for quality. Unlike many other hoses for sale on Amazon and elsewhere that says they MEET these standards you have to trust the manufacturer because the manufacturer is testing them themselves. I think that's a conflict of interest to save a few bucks. I wouldn't trust any manufacturer when it came to my home being flooded out. Don't buy any plumbing products that aren't certified. And if they really are certified they will be stamped into the metal on them with the logos of the above organizations. Change these hoses and any other ones you own every 5 years as well. It's just not worth the chance for 20 bucks. It is apparent that these hoses are really well made. They have metal connectors on both ends, the stainless steel wrapping is quite thick and the hose feels heavy. Highly recommended.

These replacement stainless steel hoses are thicker and better made than the previous set of stainless hoses I first installed on my (then) new Kenmore top loader 14 years ago. Those old ones carried a 10 year warranty and were made in Mexico. These new ones--and all the other brands I've looked at on Amazon and in the big box stores--only carry a 5 year warranty and are made in China. The connectors on these Kelaro hoses appear sturdier than my older ones, and the new hoses are thicker, too, and use a heavier duty rubber washers for a tight seal. These features, combined with more than *300* 5-star reviews, convinced me that these stainless hoses were the correct choice. If they last as long as my old stainless set did, it's money well spent. Most of the online plumbing forums I visited before buying suggested replacing all stainless steel water hoses used in a household after their product warranty period has expired. My old ones easily lasted 4 years longer than their warranty period, and upon inspection still appear to be in good condition today. I replaced them anyway as simple preventative maintenance when having my Kenmore washer serviced. Next up, my dishwasher's stainless steel water hoses!

Fits. Easy to install. Don't leak. Don't walk away at night - stays home as well behaved helpers should. Low maintenance!
