## Description

Fibre Scour (Wool scour) is formulated to remove the 'grease' from wool and other natural fibres prior to spinning. Fibre Scour is recommended under the Merinomark & AlpacaMark Fibre Scour is based on our Woolskin Sheepskin but has increased grease dispersing properties which removes the heavy lanolin grease in newly shorn wool. Our wool Scour leaves the fleece soft and clean, ready for spinning. Comments that we have had from customers is how effectively the product removes grease and cleans the fleece. The essential oils which are used in this product Tea Tree and Lemon Myrtle make this product very enjoyable to use and are excellent at removing odours. Customers have had very good results on white fleeces and impressed with the handle of the fleece after cleaning . Unlike many scours on the market which are based on industrial formulas for the use in industrial mills which needs to strip all the oils from the fleece to prevent the machinery clogging , this product was developed specifically for hand spinners and does not totally strip the fleece of all its natural oils so in fact improved the results you get from the fleece when spinning . Fibre Scour (Wool scour) is formulated to remove the 'grease' from wool and other natural fibres prior to spinning. Fibre Scour is recommended under the Merino mark & Alpaca Mark.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top stuff, top seller

Hi Babs! Thanks very very much for sending this wonderful product so incredibly quickly, and for your sweet note. It's always a pleasure to buy from you; you couldn't be nicer to deal with. Thank you! To anyone considering buying this, it's brilliant stuff; fragrant, effective and natural. I cold scour my fleeces. I soak them first in water to loosen the dirt, then drain them well using their own weight to help press out the water. Then I put them into the scour solution and leave them there for several days. I give them lots of (gentle) presses with my hands every time I go into the garden, picking out the bits of hay, leaves, sticks, poo pellets etc as I go. Then I drain the fleeces again and soak them in clean water (pressing them regularly again) over a day or two. A spin cycle in a mesh bag in the washing machine, and they're ready to be laid out in the sun to dry. A clothes horse with some garden mesh strung over it works really well for this. After this process the fleeces are snowy, fragrant and gorgeously soft. Happy summer days washing fleeces, happy winter's nights by the fire, carding... bliss.
