Review: Stopped working after 9 months - We got this humidifier for our Ball Python's tank. It worked great for several months until it suddenly started leaking into the bottom and the fan stopped working this week. The fan, by the way, is pretty much impossible to replace in the US because of the type of plastic wire caps used! Also, the directions and controls on this machine are not intuitive or user-friendly at all. It took a lot of trial and error to get the right setting- with only a phone number in China to contact for help. I even tried emailing the company but have received no response. In short, NOT WORTH IT.
Review: Perfect in every way! - Best fogger/ Humidifier I’ve ever bought. It’s so EASY to clean. It’s so EASY to fill up. The digital display is a bit different to get used to but it’s nothing like learning a new language or anything. It is very touchy though, just brushing up against it can cause it to change settings however it beeps very loudly so it’s not like you don’t know when it’s changed- it does give a very loud warning with a “beep”, then you just gotta cycle through the settings to set it back to it’s previous state. Nothing too intense lol. Overall, it’s the best one I’ve owned for my pet tortoise yet. The sheer simplicity of filling it up is wonderful. What’s truly best though, is the fact of how the lid simply lifts off and I can easily fit my entire hand down to the bottom when it’s cleaning time- mind you I am a smaller female so my hand is my smaller than my S.O’s hand - he might have a little more difficulty reaching to the bottom than I do but it’s still waaaay easier than any other humidifier we’ve used for the tortoise. And I do mean WAAAY easier. I cannot stress this enough though: as with any fogger/ humidifier: THIS MUST BE CLEANED REGULARLY (as in once a month at the least). I refill this 2x a month (sometimes 3), and if it’s not cleaned at least once in this time, prepare to be stuck cleaning it with cotton swabs for a good hour or more. If you’re on top of your game and do it regularly. 1-2x a month it’ll be super simple. Another thing to keep in mind is you never wanna clean it with more than hot water. Do not use soaps or chemicals in here EVER. it’ll never fully come out (of this or any machine you use for your pets) and could cause a lot of harm to them!!! Hot water and some paper towels to wipe up the slime build up (a few swabs to get into the hard to reach places like under where the reserve tank sits, it’s gets yuki in there pretty quick, but it’s easy to reach and get out if cleaned regularly) and your set. All the other machines I’ve owned in the past have been a nightmare for me to even get my hand into, so this one’s a great choice. It’s on the expensive yes, but the advantages to it compared to others truly help it pay for itself in the long run. I think I’ve had mine now 3-4 years and I don’t think it’ looks a day older than the first day I got it. Nothin has worn of off it. It hasn’t chipped anywhere. No parts have needed replacing etc. if you’re sitting on the fence about it, just get it. You won’t regret it.

**Q: Does anyone know how to disable the sound on this device? When using an external humidity controller, it beeps when the unit turns on...**
A: If you've got a soldering iron, it's not hard to remove the speaker from the circuit board. We're 3 weeks in, and apart from the lack of a BEEP there's been no change to the normal operations of the unit.

Just remove a couple of Philips screws on the bottom, remove the front circuit board (the one with the display LEDs), and un-solder the two connector points on the back of the speaker/buzzer (labeled "BUZ") to remove it. Put all the screws back in and you've got a silent fogger!

**Q: Can you use an external humidity controller?**
A: Dear
Yes, you can use an external humidity controller.
It can start or stop working automatically with an external humidity controller for constant humidity,this function only works under the condition of CT=0.

**Q: The digital timer is not working. continuous mode works but as soon as i set the timer it never turns on. is there a fix for this issue?**
A: When you set up the timer, it doesn't begin "fogging" immediately, it begins the "cool-down" cycle you chose - ie: off for 1 hour, run for 30 minutes, etc.

**Q: Can this be used for a sulcata Tortoise?**
A: It increases humidity, works better in an enclosed space but, if you need additional humidity in your terrarium, it should work fine.

We got this humidifier for our Ball Python's tank. It worked great for several months until it suddenly started leaking into the bottom and the fan stopped working this week. Best fogger/ Humidifier I’ve ever bought. It’s so EASY to clean. It’s so EASY to fill up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had to get to know it

Started off fine, turned it on, filled it up. Wanted to set the timer and it's a little confusing but once you understand it it's easy. Had an issue with it not fogging and just beeping and shutting itself off because the bottom filled with water (then leaked on my floor) when my daughter lifted the tank and jostled the seal while it was full. Once I figured that issue out and fixed it by dumping it and drying it and staring over from new, it has worked fine ever since. Keeps our chameleon happy. 30minutes on, 30 minutes off medium fog. I top the tank off to about 7/8 every day at feeding and it never empties so I don't have to worry about it shutting off and him going without. On this setting, it goes about 36 hours on a 7/8 tank.
