Painted Over Mold
I live in an rv and love it! I bought this book to get some ideas for my own restoration project. It is more of an airstream interior design book than a full restoration. Even though the photography and design style is beautiful, I do not recommend this book.I was shocked to see it looks like they painted over the toxic mold on their ceiling. It looks like mold stains are visible in the before photo which was taken after the ceiling was washed. It appears they covered it up with Kilz primer. Kilz doesn’t kill mold.As someone who has lived in an rv full time, I have had mold before. I bought a vintage rv that made me sick because the previous owner painted over mold. Anything with mold stains should be cut out and replaced. I ended up taking my rv down to the studs and adding new insulation and interior walls. They should have replaced that section of their ceiling. I’m leaving this review to share my experience so you don’t make that mistake and end up sick.
