My second Surface Book is a Surface Book 2
I have had a Surface Book since the line was started. I have always thought it was a great convertable (a laptop with a detachable screen (lid) to make it a tablet. It has started to show some difficult signs with regard to the screen (an appreciable yellow area along the edge of the screen). So, I decided to get a new computer, a Surface Book 2. It has all the features and quality of the original Surface Book, but with upgraded innards (i.e. an upgraded processor, so that it supports Windows 11). I have only had it for a couple of week, so I do not know how to rate its other improvements.

No Surface Pen
The item did not come with a surface pen. It advertises “what’s in the box” and says “Surface Pen” but I didn’t not receive one. I was really expecting one as a part of a good surface package deal. I was very disappointed. The laptop seem to work ok

Unrepairable
A few months after purchasing it refused to turn on. I messaged Microsoft to get it repaired and they said it shouldn't have been sold to a consumer, and they could only service it through the original organization it was sold to. Don't buy refurbished Microsoft products.

I purchased this computer for my daughter to take to college. She absolutely loves it!! The speed of the processor, the large hard drive and the overall quality all make this an ideal computer for every college student or business professional!!

wish i would have known about the gpu losing direct x 12 support
bought one there is a large issue the gpu is no longer supported in windows 11 nvidia turned on legacy support for there 1050 gpus and they are no longer supported so you cant get the latest driver and are completly disabled from directx 12 so you cant run anything.. makes it worthless for video editing but the I5 model is still supported with intel graphics which is even more worthless
