Polymaker Fiberon PET-CF17 3D Printing Filament Black 1.75mm 0.5kg, Excellent Stable Stiffness - Fiberon Carbon Fiber Reinforced PET 3D Printer Filament, Ideal for Jigs and Fixtures

I work with 3D printers professionally, and own a Prusa COREONE myself. I think this is my favorite filament. Funny thing, I didn't read quite well enough and thought this was PETG, not PET. But after working that out and adjusting settings accordingly, this stuff prints like a dream. In fact, I *prefer* it to my PETG filament, by a lot. The parts it produces are not only crazy strong, they also look damn good. It's a bit pricier than normal PETG, I don't care. It's worth it. Do note, I did hear speak of issues with warping when comparing PET to PETG. I have not had any issue with that. In fact, despite the fact that I'm using a crappy 3rd party textured build plate and no adhesive, this stuff seems to have better adhesion than my normal PETG. However, it is worth noting my printer is also enclosed. (Though I don't have the chamber heater active.) I also am running a hardened steel nozzle per recommendation. All in all, an excellent, high quality filament. I only wish it came in more colors.

First off I needed a rush order for a client of Black PA6-GF originally but Bambu Lab takes sometime to get so while I wait I figured I can try this out. I’m seriously impressed, not only did it adhere solid and strong to a G10 plate even with releasing adhesive. But it’s seamless on the layer adhesion and rigid AF! I love Bambu Lab PAHT-HF but it’s a pain if you don’t have perfect chamber temps and has very potent fumes. This PET-CF17 didn’t have nearly as much but still you need filtering. I downloaded their Bambu print profile and sent it! Worked first try with a 40c chamber, 75c Bed temp, 300c nozzle (Modded X1C with Panda Revo 0.4mm ObXidian) no AUX fan and printed flawless with ZERO WARPING! I don’t think I even needed a brim honestly. It’s extremely brittle! So be careful with loading and make sure to have smooth transitions in the PTFE lines. I had this loaded in the AMS as well and had zero issues! The texture on the surface finish is astounding and feels just like the competition. For only 500g’s I’m pretty happy about this product and definitely hope polymaker releases some other color options with their Fiberon Line. I wanted PA6-GF but it’s only available here in gray… I was hesitant trying this but it’s going to be a solid go-to option from now on! I think I’m going to buy the PPS-CF20 next! Trust PolyMaker they’ve been in the game long enough!!

Wow. This filament literally blows me away every time I use it..! I’ve used PAHT-CF filament before, direct from Bambu, and it cost twice as much, and was HORRIBLE to work with. I am getting consistent results, time after time, first attempts successful, excellent layer adhesion and detail! The textured finish is amazing, looks pro, hides layer lines. It does require a good amount of drying before use, so you need to plan ahead, but this is HANDS DOWN THE BEST exotic, high strength 3D printing filament I have ever used. I have 3 printers, all with hardened steel extenders and nozzles, and I run my machines over 5,000 hours per year. I print A LOT. Just saying. This filament blows me away! I’ve also used successfully with generic PA support interface material. It does not stick AT ALL post print, removes clean.. allows for very challenging prints with no hassle and beautiful results even where support is needed (no scarring)

This is BY FAR my favorite brand of PET-CF. Very easy to print, none of the 20+ rolls I've purchased have ever tangled, extremely strong parts and layer adhesion. If you have a dialed in printer you can almost make the layer lines invisible. So it looks amazing in the satin black. If you're looking at other PET-CF, I guarantee you this is the best brand of commercially available stuff. Only complaint is I with it was 1kg rolls. Oh and virtually ZERO nozzle clogs that weren't self inflicted. Most other PET-CF clogs in 0.4mm nozzles, this stuff will wear out you nozzle before it clogs (if you have the temps & settings dialed in)

This filament has been a legitimate game changer. Tougher and less fussy than ABS, sticks to the bed better than PLA (at least with my setup (anycubic kobra s1 with Biqu Glacier plate)) It DOES have a habit of curling/fringing slightly on more prevalent overhangs, but adding extra support definitely helps It's wonderful, and absolutely worth the price bump. Color was a touch more dull than the photo shows, but i didn't really choose it for the color anyway. As of this moment, this filament will be in my constant rotation for engineering filaments.

I love PET filament and this prints amazing.

Very strong, hides layer lines well. When made thin enough, its flexible without losing strength. More than 3-4mil gets very stiff. Supports are VERY difficult to remove, increase z gap significantly to ensure you can remove it. Also overhang performance is not great

Great value. Not too hard to print and looks great. Just make sure you dry it!

The Acquisition I bought the Fiberon PET-CF17 because I wanted a new challenge. The truth is, I wanted to feel important. Regular PETG is for printing toothbrush holders. Carbon Fiber Reinforced PET is for printing structural components that absolutely, under no circumstances, should ever fail, even if subjected to the gravitational pull of a small moon. The 0.5kg spool is a cruel joke. It’s like selling a sports car with a half-gallon gas tank. The moment it runs out (usually at 98% completion of the most critical piece), you realize you just finished spending $30 on a single, extremely rigid failure. Stability and Stupidity Polymaker talks about "Excellent Stable Stiffness." They're not lying. I printed a simple desk foot. Before, my desk wobbled when I typed. Now, my entire house wobbles around the desk. This material does not yield. It does not forgive. I tried to break a test piece by hand. My hand now requires medical attention, and the test piece has a mild smudge. If you ever need to print a component that must survive a nuclear winter and the subsequent rise of the robot overlords, this is your guy. I’ve started using my failed prints as small, strangely geometric whetstones. The Abrasive Tax Let's discuss the price of admission. The carbon fiber bits are there to reinforce your prints, but they also function as a tiny, internal demolition crew for your hardware. If your nozzle isn't hardened, it will be excavated. You'll spend more time replacing components than actually printing. I now own a dedicated, climate-controlled, sealed container just for this spool. I talk to it in hushed tones. It's not a filament; it's a petulant, high-maintenance ingredient that demands respect and a diamond-tipped nozzle. What I Printed (And What I Should Have) The official use is for Jigs and Fixtures. I printed a custom phone stand. A phone stand. It could probably withstand a drop from the International Space Station, but it holds my TikTok machine perfectly. I also printed a decorative chain link. I can now tow a Ford F-150 with a piece of plastic that weighs 2 grams. The prints come off the bed with a beautiful, dark, industrial finish that screams, "I am a professional engineer and definitely not a person who spent three hours trying to level their bed this morning." Final Verdict Pros: Strength: Unnecessarily, hilariously strong. Aesthetics: The matte finish is gorgeous and makes prints look expensive. Bragging Rights: You get to say "carbon fiber" a lot. Cons: Nozzle Cost: It’s a recurring expense, like a subscription service for hardened steel. Volume Anxiety: 0.5kg is never enough. Summary: Only buy this if you’ve run out of structural weaknesses in your life and need your 3D printer to introduce some. Be prepared to upgrade your entire setup, but enjoy the strongest damn phone stand you'll ever own.

this filament is awesome! Make sure you print at 300 degree and this stuff looks amazing, no print lines and strong as can be! WIll be making this my go to CF filament!

Prints very well on my Bambu Lab A1 Mini, I just modified the presets for a PET profile with the values from polymakers website.

Wanted to try this because it is 1/2 the price of the bambu version. And I'm very happy with it, printed easy, nice matt surface finish. I just missed the fact that this filament HDT is 148C, were the Bambu is 205C. There lies the price difference, totally worth it.

I've made an air intake for my car and after an hot summer and a cold winter, there are no cracks. Impressive!
