UPDATE 2: I received the reel with a 5/8”hose and the flow issue is corrected. Also, the new one has a more narrow mounting plate that fits a 4x4 post (barely). I still added 1x4 cleats but it looks and works great! UPDATE: The manufacturer reviewed and responded to my initial review. They offered several options to resolve the issues which was amazing! I’ve never experienced a customer care team that responded so quickly and has been on point with available solutions. Working with them has been great! Additionally, I thought I’d leave a couple of images to illustrate my workaround for the 4x4. So far, this seems like a good product. Unfortunately, the flow volume is significantly less than the previous hose of the same diameter. I assume due to friction loss. Also, the mount is too wide to fit on a 4x4 post. I ended up adding cleats to the 4x4 to attach the mounting bracket. It worked great and I have the appropriate span to reach needed areas. It is somewhat heavy but it was really easy to install and take down. I may get a shorter one for my front yard. Although some resources tout Giraffe Tool being manufactured in the USA, it’s clearly China after opening the product.

At first this hose was great - finally a no-kink product. This one was a 25 footer. I liked it so much that I bought a 50 footer for the boat dock. I used the 25' to connect to my pool level minder, only to return home today to find the hose separated from its connector at the spigot - with water running freely for who knows how long. Just great... UPDATE: Giraffe tools immediately offered a full refund which is much appreciated! Their 50' hose is still performing perfectly. Thank you for standing by your product!

After just throwing away three hoses because they leaked after one winter. They were drained, hung up and i changed the washers. I ordered this hose and I don’t think I will ever need another one. It seems to be a much thicker construction than the Home Depot ones. The sleeve over the connector is much thicker and stronger than I’ve seen before. It also slides very easily away from the connector so you can use pliers to tighten the joint. This is my brand forever!

Works great. The years of lugging hoses across the yard is over. Treat it like you paid for something nice and dont want it to break. Dont let the hose go and retract on its own. Common sense. Worth the money

My gardens are my zen spaces. I consider my plant watering "aqua therapy". However, moving heavy hoses around has always been a big chore! Every hose I've owned has been heavy & burdensome. A friend recommended this hose to me. So after a little research, I purchased it in August, 2021. The product info was impressive; claiming to be lightweight, strong/durable & kink free. I purchased a 25' hose. However, after about 10 months of use, I noticed water spraying out due to a very small, almost pin- sized puncture hole. Long story short I contacted Giraffe Tools. Their customer service is amazing! They responded immediately asking for a picture of the damaged hose. In no time at all the hose was replaced. Grace at Giraffe Tools followed up until the very end. Here was a company that wanted to insure that I was a satisfied customer. I'm a customer for life. You won't go wrong in choosing this product. It will be money well spent!

This hose is seldom used. It is now 4 months old (just past the date of possible return) and the hose separated from the connector and ran continuous for hours before being noticed. It is no longer useable and will tossed. Poor assembly and quality control. This should not happen from something advertised as heavy duty.

The unit worked very well for 6 months and then there was a loud boom inside, and it would not recoil any more. Customer service was fast and efficient and got me a new one quickly.
