I was a potter for 35 years, but age has force me to give it up. My best friend is younger and still throws stoneware pottery. I gifted this item to him and he loves it! All his pieces that need to be a consistent size are now much easier to make and it saves him time, money and labor.

Haven’t used it yet but looks well made, easy to assemble and flexible in usage.

If you have a brent wheel, the space between the wheel head and the pan is too narrow to use the attachment mechanism this comes with. And, the brent wheel flat part is too thick for the attachment mechanism. So, I ended up using some scrap wood to make a stand and that worked for me. Overall the quality isn't great, but good enough for my occasional use when I make multiples. If you want something high quality and/or have a brent wheel, maybe keep looking.

Works well and is pretty self explanatory if you want to make a lot of pottery that is similar in size.

It's all right. The material doesnt seem to be the sturdiest. And the screws that came with it are too short to fit the product (others have mentioned this too). Luckily I had some leftover from other products and that worked. It fits my wheel fine.

What a piece of crap. I never leave reviews even when I return stuff, but I had to leave one now because it's straight up unuseable and misrepresented. The pieces do not fit together at all. The screws are too short to fit through the holes and still fit the nuts (and I quadruple checked I was fitting the right screws to the right pieces), and the whole thing snapped when I was trying to brute force it together. Additionally, the box arrived untaped and barely closed. Anybody could have walked up to it, lifted the flap, and helped themselves to whatever was inside, or it could have simply opened and falled out in the truck. Totally crazy experience. I buy a lot of pottery supplies and I bought this because it would come faster than other sources, but I'm going back to my usual suppliers after this. Ugh.

Great product. Would just recommend a soft rubber material for the needle so it doesn't destroy pots.

Excellent piece of kit, exactly what you would expect.

Qualité faible. Pas possible de replier les pointes. Pas possible de mettre la barre verticale totalement verticale ... bref, souhait de rendre le produit mais frais de port à ma charge (30 Euros pour la Chine via bpost !) ... donc envoi "économiquement non-raisonnable" ...

Why did you choose this product over others?: It's OK. It has a lower price than many others so is good value. The only reasons for not giving it 5 stars are a) I would prefer flexible rubber tips which bend if the clay body touches; and b) the option to attach to a weighted stand so it is free-standing rather than clamp on. I have managed to rig up by own stand and the result is satisfactory. If you want just clamp on this is great as it comes.
