As there's a few different items on this page, some of the reviews are a bit unclear - I bought the three pack Huawei A1 Whole Home Wi-Fi Router.I have a three storey house, with my router on the middle floor. Wifi on the ground and top floors is spotty at best. Having struggled to get Powerline adaptors working before, I thought I'd try a mesh solution, and this one stood out as... well, as being £60 cheaper than other brands, if I'm honest.The system comes with three devices - one plugs into your existing router, and the other two act as satellite devices. They're linked together with their own backbone wireless network, and each one puts out its own wireless network around its location, on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.I could previously only get reliable internet in my living room or kitchen, basically the same floor as the router. If you went onto a different floor, it would drop out randomly.Now, I seem to get similar speed test results wherever I am in the house, and the internet is usable in the garden for the first time ever. As an added bonus each device has two wired ports, so you can plug in devices that are close enough to one of the routers.Setup was quite easy, although you do have to download an app to your phone in order to get things working. I've had it all running for about two weeks now, and apart from a few issues at first where the satellite routers couldn't see the main one (resolved by adjusting their positions a bit) everything has been rock solid.

I Bought this set up as I have Wifi dead spots in the house and the mesh system is designed to eliminate this and give you a continuous uninterrupted connection if you move from room to room. In theory it does this as we have a strong WiFi signal on our devices but that’s where it ends! The problem is The signal is good but the internet drops out fairly regularly throughout the day and causes buffering when loading pages or downloading content. We had 2 separate routers before which was a pain as we’d have to wait for it to connect to one or other depending where we moved about the house but never the constant interruption which we are experiencing now! Another annoying feature is the app which is useless, very limited information and takes a lot of trial and error to find things, especially the time zone feature which was set for Bahrain so when I set up the time clock to switch off the Wifi during sleep hours it kept going off at 9pm instead of the scheduled 12pm. What we have also found is that if the app is open on my phone and I have left the WiFi zone and then come back into it, it disables the signal for several minutes making it very frustrating to the other WiFi users so I have to have it permanently off. The app also has a reboot feature which you would expect to reboot the system when it freezes or drops signal, but if that happens you can’t access the app to reboot the routers which seems pointless!! All in all very, very disappointed with this purchase. A waste of £140! Don’t buy this!!!

This is the Huawei A1 mesh wifi network kit with 3x devicesInstalled and set up, ran a side by side comparison with my existing wifi both connected to the same internet connection and this pile of junk gets around 10% of the speed of my existing Wifi.To add to that half the features don't actually work or are super flakey. If you are likely to want to do anything vaguely related to configuration changes then really don't bother as there are barely any features here and any that do exist might work if you are lucky, but probably wont.The less said about the mobile app that goes with this the better.I went for these because they were cheap. As far as i'm concerned they are cheap because nothing in the advert or spec for these devices is true.I'll be returning these for a refund and going for the Linksys kit that i should have got in the first place

For years the kitchen area of my home was an incurable WiFi blackspot and nothing I tried worked to change that until now. Now at last Huawei has finally given us a rock solid Wi Fi coverage all ovewr the house and a fair bit outside which comes with high speeds as well. Shame this superb Huawei A1 3 module mesh home router product is being burried alive by being mixed up with all the other Huawei with it's reviews being mixed up with an assorted variety of Huawei products being sold on Amazon.Initially I must say that I was very disappointed by the virtually useless manual supplied by Huawei which only showed me how to setup the Huawei by mobile phone. I worked out how it worked eventually and from then on setting the Huawei A1 3 module system on my home desktop computer up was a doddle. I remembered a little dodge from past experience of other systems and tried swapping the Wap Ethernet cables over between my Netgear6400 and the Huawei A1 module I had chosen to be the master module and hey presto it workedFrom this inspired guess I immediately gained access to the Huawei website on my home desktop computer to set my system up exactly as I wanted it to be.. Provided you have all the technical info on your setup with your I.S.P. it's really straightforward from then on. You must rememberthat you have to swap the WEP back to go online ...from then on it's all sweetness and light.. Now six months later I am still delighted with the rock solid service this Huawei A1 Mesh system is giving me...
