Can you pre-mix this with a quart of non-waxed gelcoat to effectively make it waxed gelcoat? and use as much as you need out of the an with mekp ?

Yes you can do that. If you need to do two coats do the first one with no wax then add your wax to the last coat. That way you don't have to sand in between coats.

how much gelcoat will the 4oz treat

4oz will do 1 gallon of gelcoat. You would generally use 1oz per quart or 4oz per gallon.

can you use this with epoxy resin?

I use this for gelcoat on a bass boat , Gel coat will not cure to a hard finish unless seal from outside air , it will stay tacky, you mix this in with a batch and during the process of curing it comes to the surface and seals it and allows it to harden properly, I dont think you need it with epoxy resin because it hardens without it .

The top of the can is sealed with a metal cap and says to cut this out. What's the best way to do this?

Usually take a little flathead screw driver and poke the lid with it and it will pop out.

Makes gel, coat, dry and not sticky

This wax additive helped the Boat shine a bit more made the gel coat dry without a tacky filling. I recommend this product to be added to all gel coats. Whether they come with wax or not.

Worked Perfect.

Good product for working with fiberglass. It works well when blended together with polyester resin or gel coat to cure it to a non sticky texture. I used it when I refinished the fuel tank area in my Champion DCX 221 Elite bass boat.

Necessary when using Gel Coat WITHOUT a wax additive in it.

Worked great! Good value, ensures your final coat is durable. Used for the final coat of white gel coat to ensure a clean, properly cured, non-tacky finish on a sailboat. If you plan to use an anti-slip silica, make sure to mix it in with the wax additive before adding MEK-P (the catalyst that hardens the gel coat). Follow manufacturers directions - the ratios provided are integral to the success of your gel coat project.
